Provided that we assume the fight takes place in water?

Shark.

I was thinking more zero gravity to give them both a fighting chance.

...sharks can't breathe in zero gravity.

Okay. How about an air breathing shark that can float? [ headscratch. ] A wizard did it.

Where is the fight taking place, and are both the tiger and shark in peak physical condition?

In space. And yeah. They've both been modified to breathe in space.

I think the shark has the advantage as far as movement goes, but once the tiger sinks its claws and teeth into the shark or gets behind him, it's over for the shark.

My vote goes toward the tiger.

Excellent. That about wraps that one up...

This game's a lot harder when you can't just throw out pop culture references.

[Probably is, man.]

Mm. Well, I've never seen one, either. The North Pole would be too cold for them.

You live on the North Pole?

Ah, ah! No, that one's done because so many other people have done it I shall give you one!

Namely: Heron versus deer.

Creative.

[ he mulls it over for a long while. ] My vote is on the deer. They're absolutely nasty when you tick them off.

You think so, do you?

[ YOU LEARN THINGS WHEN YOU TRY TO EAT THEM ahem. ]

But seriously. The deer's got at least a hundred pounds on the heron and it's got fairly sharp hooves.

A tiger! Tigers can swim, but they can also breathe out of water. Also they eat fish. Of course, tigers would never swim out that deep in the ocean, but sometimes sharks get their senses messed up and swim upriver.... although I've never heard of a great white shark doing that. Usually it's more like bull sharks that do that. Except they do it on purpose.

That's a pretty flawless argument. Point to the tiger.

Hell yes! Tigers win.

Shame most people keep getting stuck on the tiger-in-water thing.
