1. Your name: Himezaki
2. Your age: 20
3. What makes you get up in the morning? Even though I get up at ungodly hours of the morning, I have a duty to going to class. I also have a puppy at home, and I'm responsible to her in regards to taking her out for a walk every morning. Aside from that, if my body clock malfunctions and I sleep past, say, 9 AM, I find that I've felt like I've wasted my entire day away.

Family pasts intrigue me and sometimes I wonder what Voldemort would have been like had he had real parents. One could probably do a lot of psychoanalysis on him -- for example, like his flair for the dramatic or his obsessive collecting and how that stems from his past. As a character, Voldemort is absolutely divinely written -- someone that can be hated, but as a villian, quick to the point, and faulted, in a good, naturally human way, in his arrogance (towards Harry) and anger (i.e. towards Lucius).
6. What are your other passions/ fandoms excluding Harry Potter? First off, I'm a musician. I've been playing piano since I was about three years old and it's a huge emotional outlet for me. I also draw, knit, and write stories (although I never finish my stories!) as well as all sorts of arts and crafts. The arts thrill me -- whether it be J-pop or Monet, there's always something about a well done piece of artistry that moves me.
I love drumlines as well as colorguard -- I'll find myself airflagging when I'm bored. There's a huge grace about being armed with a flag/sabre/rifle and performing ones' heart out.
I'm also big into anime, although much less so than I used to be. I run a Sailor Moon fanbased RPG that is doing brilliantly, and I adore Kyou Kara Maou and Shoujo Kakumei Utena, which are my two other fandoms. Moulin Rouge is my obsessively favorite movie, I know every line, and the concepts of Truth, Beauty, Freedom and Love always fill me with joy and sadness, even if I have watched the movie seven times in two days in the past.
7. Who do you relate to most within the Harry Potter series? I'd have to say Ginny Weasley from the books. She knows what she wants, and is damnedly fierce about it. Although Harry overshadows all characters, Ginny's really moved herself up into a more prominent role. She has a lot of trouble adjusting to herself, but her character is consistantly maturing with each book. I enjoy the fact that she will, by all means, hex your behind to beyond if she thinks you're wrong, and I feel like her headstrong-ness really agrees with me.
8. What is your favourite novel (ex. Harry Potter)? Absolutely positively The Princess Bride! It shows the humanistic, painful, divine, and often, just ugly side of being in love. I love fairy tales, and this is a great one for a big kid who likes her dose of reality all the same.
9. Would you run for prefect or Head Boy/ Girl if you were at Hogwarts? Absolutely. But to be totally honest, I'd probably lose. I would do so for the sake of that my voice carries across a football field like it's no ones' business. As a game mistress of the SM-Fangame that I'm running, I've been told that I'm nice, but harsh. I give second chances, but they'll really have to prove. I'll really be a bitch to get something done the clean, perfect way that it should be. A tough love sort of characteristic that pushes other people into posting and doing the right thing. The arrogance behind running though, is also prominent. My intolerance of people that DON'T know what they're doing can get the better of me, and I'd hanker at a chance to prove I'm better.
10. Who is your least favorite character - why? Hm. Difficult. I think. Narcissa Malfoy. Yes, her scene in the beginning of HBP was touching, but she's too...submissive for my tastes. It seems as if the beliefs she stand strong in aren't something Narcissa has even thought fully about and was brainwashed into instead.
11. What do you consider the key qualities of the four Hogwarts houses? (Describe why you think this and elaborate!)
-Gryffindor: Not only is bravery a big part of it, one must be ambitious but moral. Finding the heart and guts to put down your foot and stand up in what you believe in, no matter how stubborn and bullheaded you come across, is also equally important.
-Ravenclaw: I feel that book smarts and street smarts are two different thing, and Ravenclaws have a natural wit. Their more viable weapon is their knowledge -- in not only knowing it, but being able to think quickly on their feet and use said knowledge in the most efficient manner.
-Hufflepuff: Loyal and loving, Hufflepuffs are dutiful and balanced. Their responsibility to others is unwavering. To me, the characteristic Hufflepuff is consistant in the way that they do their duties. They're well put together in their self, and are equally humble.
-Slytherin: It's really difficult to draw the line between a Gryffindor and Slytherin, personally. Slytherins are equally ambitious, but it seems as if they value power over value (and by value, I mean the gratification of work, etc.).
12. Where and how would you like to see yourself (job, country) in a few years time? My dream dream dream job is to be a singer on Broadway. HOWEVER! This is not realistic. Loving my suburbia very much, I hope to be married and living in New Jersey, with a reasonable distance from a city (Philly or NYC?). I see myself directing a choral program in a high school, whilst actively involved with the marching band/drumline/colorguard. Of course, I'm going to continue playing the piano, and teaching privately at home.
13. If you were a teacher at Hogwarts, which subject would you teach and why? (Extra thumbs up for original submissions - feel free to invent your own magical subject!) Assuming you're asking this question in a more general sense and not an "OMGVOLDEMORT" sense, I would probably institute a Wizarding Arts Program. Although we can do so many things, a well rounded Wizard would probably benefit from working in a group, say, like a choir! (Was totally inspire by PoA's opening scenes, by the way) It's also time for Wizards to make a mark, not only in a "WE ARE TEH UBAR" way, but in a way that also shows refinement. Plus, it would be a fabulous application of Charms -- and great downtime for students!
14. Would you be a Muggleborn (Mudblood?), Halfblood or Pureblood, based on your own personality? Give original reasons for this calculation excluding specific House Traits. Because I'm first generation Chinese, there's an unspoken pressure from my parents to be dating other guys who are Chinese. But no relationship can be picked on a racial stand -- it's who you love, and that's not something that allows for "pure" bloodedness. For that reason, I would probably be a halfblood.
15. What improvements would you follow through if you were Minister of Magic? Muggle and Wizarding relations need to be improved upon the most. Unity is the strongest weapon, and the truth is, we're all afraid of things we don't understand. A REAL effort would have to be made towards extending a friendly hand towards Muggles.
16. What do you consider your most prominent qualities, either good or bad and why? I'm headstrong and self flagellating. Although I can act really defeatist, the power behind protesting my idiocy is a prompter as well. I can be damnedly obnoxious and loud -- mostly in a fun, rambunctious way that seems random in speech. However, despite said idiocy, I've been told that I'm very absorbant to knowledge and viciously intelligent. I am stubborn. I fight a lot because my emotions tell me I'm right, dammit! Actually, emotions tend to run my life and sometimes it seems weak or instinctual when it comes to my moods. The last thing I'd like to name is my love for looking nice -- which is not a quality per say but it reflects a lot on my attention-whore-ish-ness and the fact that...looking CLEAN and well put together is GOOD.
17. If you could change something of the Harry Potter series, what would you want to change? I'd love to make the entire series just...LONGER. There are much too many loopholes that need to be closed up, and rumors have it that Book 7 still won't be as long as OotP. Which is SAD. I would've loved to explore the relationship between Ginny and Harry more, and for Harry's sake, had him experience the warmth of knowing Sirius longer. Harry's mental process would've been interesting to read, in the transition between Book 5 and 6 and how he just, matured so quickly. Personally that would have been insightful. So perhaps, I wouldn't change anything, just add more.
18. Do you feel you can and will contribute to this community in an original way? I probably could -- I'm notably obscure with communities until random strokes of genius strike me. Certainly, though, I could recruit new minions!
19. How did you hear of this community? I glimpsed it through someone's profile on an LJ community and decided to look into it! (After 17 in depth answers, I think my brain is fitzing out.)
20. Now is your chance: choose a house you would prefer not to be sorted into. (Include rational arguments, though.) Because of my inbalance of personality and general lack of stability, I'd pick Hufflepuff. I don't have that solidarity in myself, or the necessary faith for others that I should to really belong there.
