I was wondering, when you said that Ginny was written out of character, if you considered that she might have been out of character in first year. After all, Ron did say she normally never shuts up, and if you think about it, between her first year regularly in Harry's presence and Tom Riddle being in her head, there's a lot to make her act weird.

I'm not trying to argue or anything by the way, and that isn't why I sorted you how I did, I'm just wondering if you considered that because that's how I always saw it.

I almost agreed...but I gave her the benefit of the doubt and sorted her in Slytherin.
