01. Name: Jessica
02. How did you find out about Hogwarts Hallows? From a member unhappy with HiH
03. Why do you want to join this community? Same reason I joined HiH...I think it will be fun
||MIRROR OF ERISED||
04. You are eleven years old and you've just received a Hogwarts letter. How do you react?
At first I would think it would be too good to be true. Then after I got over the initial shock I would drag my mother to Diagon Alley where I would explore everything. However, I would act cool lol because I don't want people to know that I'm new (they always tease you). I would buy everything on my list and then I would go eat.
05. In which wizarding activities or clubs do you think you would be interested?
1. Quidditch for sure. I think that would be really fun! I'm really competitive so team sports work.
2. I saw they had a choir in PoA so I would join that because I love to sing.
3. Dueling Club (where I would be the best!)
4. Book Club? I like to read.
5. Is there an Arithmancy or Ancient Runes club? I always thought those classes looked hard. I love
a challenge so if there were clubs like that I would definitely join.
06. What makes a person deserving of your respect?
They deserve my respect if they're smarter than me or better than me in any way (like dueling or Quidditch). They can even earn my respect if they're not better than me, but they try really hard to be good at things. They will also earn my respect if they stand up for what they believe in. Other than that they really don't deserve my respect.
07. What is your boggart, and what would you do to make it ridiculous?
Me...as a hobo...under a bridge in Boston lol. There's a story behind that. I was in 6th grade and I'm really obsessive about being the best. Well, I got my report card and I had a B+ in Language Arts (yes, when I was young they called it that...not English). I had to call my parents because I couldn't stop crying. I told my mom that because I got a B+ in 6th grade Language Arts I was never going to amount to anything. I was going to fail out of high school, never go to college, never get a job, and live as a hobo under a bridge in Boston.
08. What would you see in the Mirror of Erised?
Myself in a house with my husband, son and daughter. There would also be a large dog and a cat. It would be a big, white Victoria farm house with a huge yard, white picket fence in the front, flowers lining the path to the wrap around porch, fenced in back yard, and apple trees. I would work for this company that I can't talk about lol and my husband would also work for that company (because marriage to other people in the same company is encouraged). We would have three cars. One would be a van (like a soccer mom!), one would be an SUV (because they're great for trips), and the other would be a red convertible sports car. It would be awesome.
09. Which element (fire, earth, air, water) do you think best represents you?
Fire because I'm very out spoken and fiesty. I'm very passionate about most every thing I do. I put my all in to all of my interests. Plus, I try to convince you how awesome my interests are (I'm not going to force you, but I will try really hard to make you agree).
10. What do you think are your top five positive characteristics?
01. Loves a challenge - I'm the type of person that searches shy people out because I want to see if I can get them to open up to others. I take hard classes just because others tell me I shouldn't. I will get tunnel vision when I'm doing something hard.
02. Competitive - I think this is a good characteristic. I'm competitive, but not a sore loser. I think because I'm competitive it allows me to put my all in to everything I do and try really hard.
03. Ambitious - I think this also goes along with the other two. I have really high ambitions. I know exactly what I want to do with my life. I know how I am going to do it. I also have a good general idea of where it's going to take me in my future. I know that in order to achieve my ambitions I have to push and push and push. It's a challenge to get to where I want to be and it's quite select so I have to work very hard to be the best. And I know I can do it.
04. Good control over my emotions - This helps me out a lot. I don't want to worry my friends with my own problems. I also really don't want them to feel bad about whining about their problems. So, I look happy, or sympathetic, or angry when they want me to, even when I'm annoyed and wish they would shut up. My friends are great, but sometimes they get grating lol.
05. Curious - I'm very curious about everything. I love to learn and am always doing it. So many things about life fascinate from outer space to foreign languages.
11. What do you think are your top five negative characteristics?
01. Somewhat anti-social - while I have a lot of friends I would rather just spend time by myself reading or something like that. I find myself getting quite annoyed if I have to spend more than one or two hours around people.
02. Manipulative - My mom says this about my a lot so I'll go with that. I have a tendency to manipulate people to get what I want. Or to get out of something I don't want. I tend to manipulate people into doing exactly what I want them to do without realizing they're doing. Like on Family Guy when Peter is convinced he wanted to buy volcano insurance (if you've seen it). I get it from my father so I think it's genetic. It's just something I do and rarely notice when I'm doing it.
03. Stubborn - This is so true. I will argue until the cows come home if you let me. I will argue even if I know I'm wrong. I'm like the donkey on Family Guy (I seem to be using a lot of Family Guy references) Peter goes something like "Kevin Costner was in Robin Hood" and the donkey goes "No he wasn't" and he just keeps saying it over and over again until he finally makes a donkey noise. lol that's me.
04. Sarcastic - I speak sarcasm as my native language. Almost everything I say is sarcastic in one view or another.
05. Procrastinator - I really like to put things off. If it's not due in an hour than I don't need to do it yet. However, I work well under pressure so it's not too big of a deal to me, however, it's sometimes annoying.
12. If you could get rid of one of your personality traits and pick a trait you don't consider yourself to have instead, what would you get rid of and what new one would you pick? Why?
I would get rid of my stubbornness. It gets me in to a lot of trouble. I would replace it with...caring? I'm not that caring. My mother once told me I was born without the ability to sympathize or empathize. I think that's true. I have a hard time feeling empathy for others. When bad things happen I just look with a frown and say "well, that's sad" and walk away. I just don't get it (unless it has to do with children below middle school age or animals).
13. If you were a wizard in the Harry Potter world, what would your post-Hogwarts game plan be?
Well, considering what I want to do now I would probably do the wizarding version of roughly the same thing. First, I would be an Ambassador for a foreign country. Then, I would become an Unspeakable.

14. What do the Harry Potter books mean to you?
The Harry Potter books mean my childhood. They came out when I was quite young. It's like...Star Wars to my parents generation I think. It's life changing. It's a whole new world that I can submerge myself in when I don't feel like dealing with my own world.
15. Who is your favourite character in the Harry Potter series?
I have two! Draco and Luna are my two favorite characters. I feel bad for Draco. Plus, I love the way he talks in the book lol. He's pretty attractive in the movie as well. Luna...Luna is so crazy it's hard not to love her. She just so quirky and weird. It's great. I would never be bored with a friend like her.
16. Who is your least favourite character in the series? Do not pick Umbridge. She was written to be hated.
Ron is my least favorite character. It's probably because we're both very stubborn. Stubborn people have a hard time working with other stubborn people. I also don't like how he turned his back on Harry in the beginning of the GoF.
17. If you could trade lives with one HP character for a day, who would it be?
I would trade places with Snape actually. I want to brew potions all day. I love Chemistry and Potions seems a lot similar. Plus, let's give the poor kids a break from all the snark, yes? Lol I do love Snape though.
18. You have to pick four subjects to study for your NEWTs. What are they?
Shoot...I had to re-submit my application because I forgot about the title part. Then, as I was copying and pasting I re-read the question. It says four subjects...I chose like 8 lol. So, I'll just redo this question.
Potions, Arithmancy, and Ancient Ruins for the reasons I mentioned previously. In addiction, I would also take Transfiguration. The last choice was hard. It was a toss up between that and DADA. However, I feel like I would be in Dueling Club and I could practice on my own without a teacher by the time I'm old enough for NEWTS. I believe you can learn to be an animangus your 7th year so I wouldn't want to do that without a teacher (I wouldn't want to get stuck in my form...or half my form). So, I would chose Transfiguration.
19. Who are your favourite and least favourite Hogwarts professors? Why?
My favorite Hogwarts professor is Snape because he's so dark and everything. I love how he rarely has any emotion in his voice. It makes me shiver.
My least favorite professor is...Umbridge...she was just a b*tch. Enough said.
20. Each Hogwarts founder owned a prized possession. Imagine that these possessions were symbolic of these founders’ values. Explain how these objects might exemplify the traits of their owner’s house.
• Godric Gryffindor’s Sword: This would exemplify his fight. His ability to stand up against any injustice done to others
• Salazar Slytherin’s Locket: He possibly had a picture of his family in that locket. Every time he looked at it he was reminded of why he was working towards his ambitions. It would strengthen his dertermination
• Rowena Ravenclaw’s Diadem: The diadem goes on your head, which is contains, in Rowena's opinion, the most important muscle - the brain. I would possibly remind her to always think with her head.
• Helga Hufflepuff’s Cup: Usually when you win a cup of some kind it's from a sport. Sport generally means teamwork which I associate with loyalty.
21. Describe the canon house qualities that you feel accurately reflect you. Please try to include traits from each of the four houses.
• Gryffindor: Passionate - I already said this one so I'll just C&P: I'm very passionate about most every thing I do. I put my all in to all of my interests. Plus, I try to convince you how awesome my interests are (I'm not going to force you, but I will try really hard to make you agree).
• Slytherin: Ambitious - C&P: I have really high ambitions.
• Ravenclaw: Curious - C&P: I'm very curious about everything. I love to learn and am always doing it. So many things about life fascinate from outer space to foreign languages.
• Hufflepuff: Open-Minded - I'm very open minded about pretty much anything. If you're gay hey that's awesome. If you want to marry an octopus go for it (I will probably think your odd, but I won't stop you). If you want to have more than one spouse and the same time don't let me cramp your style. As long as it doesn't negatively affect me personally I'm totally fine with it. Live and let live because I'm not God.
22. Which house do you feel the least affinity towards?
I'm going to not answer this question. I feel that if I told you it would prejudice you in some way. I want your honest opinions of where I belong...no matter where I belong.
