[He opens one eye from where he'd closed them a brief moment prior, raising an eyebrow.]

I was trying so hard to contain it too. [sarcasm]

I don't know how you do it. [Lauren leans on the wall a step or two away, waving a hand at the door to the dance once, flippantly] The dance is so exciting.

Oh totally. All that mingling and socializing. [He gives a dry 'yay'] I'm already exhausted just thinking about it.

Merlin, I'm bored and it's only the first hour in. [He glances at her.] You end up getting a date?

I didn't want to come in the first place. But Cass and Larkin wouldn't leave it alone. [pause] You?

Asked, got told they were going with someone else. [He shrugs. If Lauren's smart she'd probably guess who it was, but it's no big deal.] I usually just hang out with Maka and Black*Star anyway.

[have an eyebrow raise. She can guess, but she isn't about to bring it up.] Sucks. [she folds her arms over her chest as she leans back against the wall] There are so many other things I could be getting done right now. [irritated? Lauren? I don't know what you're talking about.]
