After reading Billy's journal entry, Rapunzel knew she had to see him... She only hoped he had gone to the Hospital Wing, and not decided against it.

She walked in nervously, feeling out of place amongst so many people who needed help... But she had to make sure Billy was okay, so she shyly approached Ludwig.

"...Sir? Is, ah... Is Billy Harris here?"

Rapuznel blushed lightly when he turned her way. "Yup. All settled."

Shyly, she brushed her free hand through his hair. "I'm really glad you're okay."

Billy blushed a little when he felt her hand touching his hair. He was quiet for a moment.

"Really?" he repeated, like someone being worried about him was a novel concept. "I...I didn't mean to worry you like that."

"Really," Rapunzel whispered. "It's alright, I guess. I mean... You're okay now. That's what matters."

Billy smiled. "I'll...I'll make it up to you somehow," he said, after thinking for a moment. "I'll never do anything like this again."

"Thank you, Billy." Rapunzel stifled a yawn and adjusted the position of her head so she was more comfortable. She really had gotten so little sleep last night, up late worrying about her friend.

Billy blinked. "A-are you tired?" he asked. It hadn't occurred to him that she might've lost sleep out of worry for him. He shifted over on the cot to make a little more room so that she could get more comfortable. It may not have been big enough for two full-grown adults, but two fifteen-year-olds (one of whom was undernourished)? Yeah, that it could probably handle.

Rapunzel blushed when he seemed to be offering to share the cot, but... Well...

It was Billy. And she was awfully tired. So she climbed up onto the cot, careful to leave space between them.

"Thanks."

Billy blushed and smiled when Rapunzel got onto the cot with him, fully accepting the space she left as a clear boundary. Okay. (Really, he was probably more comfortable with a lack of contact - he knew, at least, what to do with that.)

"Thanks for coming to visit me," he said.

"Of course," Rapunzel yawned. "I had to make sure you were okay."

She smiled, sleepily, and touched his hair again. "Thank you for surviving."

Billy laughed, and maybe leaned toward the hand touching his hair a little. "I don't know how much credit I can take for that," he admitted lightly.

Then her yawn caught up with him, and he yawned as well.

Rapunzel was quiet for a long while, just smiling at Billy. Eventually, eyelids dropping, she murmured something inaudible... And drifted off to sleep.

Billy smiled at her, unable to take his eyes off of her. When she fell asleep, he carefully took the cover off of himself and put it over her, sighing and relaxing. He watched her sleep for a couple of minutes until he, too, started to feel his sleep debt dragging him down.

He fell asleep with his hand on top of hers, and a little smile on his lips.

Ludwig gave them an extra ten minutes before he headed back to Billy's bed to shoo Rapunzel away. But...Billy was sleeping, which was all Ludwig needed. He stood over them awkwardly for a moment, hands in his pockets. Should he wake the girl and send her off? But that might mean waking up Billy, and she wasn't hurting anything. He cast a wordless alarm ward so he'd be notified if they got up, and then a silencing charm so the sounds of the infirmary wouldn't bother them.

As long as Billy slept, it didn't matter to Ludwig if there were two people in the cot. He returned to his office.
