WHAT: Axel's not seen his sidekicks in a while, so he organizes a get together to catch up, and to have an excuse to throw bludgers at them.

[And here comes Roxas, broom thrown over his shoulder and one hand stuffed into his pocket as he makes his way onto the Quidditch pitch. He feels like he hasn't spoken to Axel in ages, at least not in depth, and for that he feels like a terrible friend.]

[Roxas isn't the only one who feels bad about not speaking to friends lately. It couldn't be helped though, and the moment that Axel spots Roxas on the field, he makes a beeline for him, sending his broom in circles around the poor hufflepuff before Axel finally jumped off, grinning with his usual cheshire smile.]

[The unfortunate thing about them being in their sixth and seventh years respectively. Roxas rolls his eyes when Axel flies around him, placing his hand on his hip and his broom rightside up from the ground when his best friend hops off.]

Could say the same for you, uh... [Yeah. He has no witty comebacks for that nickname.]

[Axel grins and ruffles Roxas' hair.]

Nice try. What you been up to?

[He ducks out from under the hair ruffle, raising his hand to smack Axel's away but he doesn't seem annoyed. If anything he's grinning.]

Not much really. Settling into school and getting used to the Beater position.

How're you finding it? You always struck me as a beatery type anyway.

It's kinda fun. I only didn't do it last year because both positions were filled when I made it to the team.

[Good.]

Yeah, that's 'cause it's the best position. [he grins stupidly and leans on his broom a little, which doesn't seem to mind.]

Man, it feels like forever since I saw you.

I know right? [Roxas keeps his own broom propped up, crossing one foot behind an ankle.] Feels like forever since that little slumber party at your place.

Mmhn. [Axel smiles a little. They'd had slumber parties since they were very small, and they'd been what you'd expect from a slumber party. Staying up late watching muggle movies and playing muggle video games. But something about that last one had definitely been different. Too bad Roxas was too oblivious to have realized. They were running out of time.]

Not long now, till you'll be left on your own in this place, too. [he grimaces, because he doesn't really want to think about it. He had nothing for him back home. He's not really sure what to do with himself.]

We should try and make this year count for something.

Yeah, we should.

[He didn't really like to think about it either, which was part of the reason why he'd been avoiding Axel a bit lately. Thinking this was the last year they'd be at Hogwarts together was a little depressing.]

I can take care of myself.

[Axel nods, and looks like he's debating something, before Roxas continues and manages to snap him out of it. He raises an eyebrow and smiles.]

Oh really? Not getting anymore magical swirlies, huh?

[He rolls his eyes, not noticing that his best friend looks like he's thinking.]

I haven't gotten a swirly since second year.

It can be arranged. [he grins]

How else am I supposed to know what your hair actually looks like when it's not spiked up?
