And usually he would stay at the faculty table until he finished, going back to the greenhouses to make sure everything was settled for the night and wondering why the rabbits weren't eating all of their pellets; it had been happening for the last few nights.

But tonight one of the professors has asked him about a book for the third time, and before he forgets again he leaves the staff table, hurrying to the greenhouses, only intending to fetch the book and bring it back to the Great Hall where his stew was getting cold.

But there's a light on in the greenhouses, and he's definitely not alone. Cautiously, he walks along the hall to number 7, the door closing behind him a bit too loudly. It doesn't matter; whoever was here wasn't getting past him.

Cassie's head jerks up once she hears the door slam. Dinner had barely begun, so Thijs couldn't be back yet. Maybe it was one of the ghosts? Or a student had left something behind during a previous class? Either way, it seemed like her cue to leave. She lifts one of the rabbits out from her lap, kisses its head, right between the ears, and places it down in the hutch. Without thinking, she puts the carrot she was feeding the rabbit behind her ear, but leaves the rest in a pile so the rabbits can get to them.

She steps carefully, slowly, trying to prevent her shoes from making any noise. Maybe, if she walks behind these plants here, she can leave the greenhouse without being noticed?

Once he reaches the door Thijs stops, listening. When he doesn't hear any immediate sound, he calls out, sounding serious.

"I already know somebody is there. If you've done anything to my rabbits I--

You're not going to get away."

Cassie gasps. It is Thijs indeed. Remembering past encounters, she believes him when he says she won't get away, but she's also not that scared. She's not stealing anything, like last time, only feeding rabbits, and feeding them vegetables! If anything, she thinks he might even be... appreciative?

"Oh, Thijs, Hi!" she steps out from behind some plants, acting entirely casual. She looks around the room, then back at him, with a wide smile. "You must have eaten fast. It's probably why you're so tall."
