Name: Urszula or Ula
Age: I am 19 going on 20 (lala la la la laaa…)
Gender: Female. I don’t think I’d be too happy with my parents if I were a guy and called Urszula.
Referred By (if applies): by an ad in some other harry potter community.

1. What is/was your favorite subject in school and why?
I had two favourites and one sub-favourite. Drama was my first favourite. I’m very interested in theatre and I love drama and I did this subject with my friends. In our last two years it was a really small group, so class was always really fun when we thought of our performances and stuff. Also the plays we analyzed in our last year were SO good. Especially an Australian play called Ruby Moon. Read it. It’s fantastic. Gotta love absurdist elements.
My second favourite was Ancient History. Once we started studying Pericles, I was completely and utterly in love with Ancient History, particularly Ancient Athens in the Classical Period. And Pericles was such a great personality to study. He was good at convincing people to do the things he believed would be best for Athens. Ahh.. Rhetoric. I wish I knew how to use it.
My sub favourite was, surprisingly enough, maths. I did general maths because throughout high school I was put in the most advanced class despite the fact that I just couldn’t keep up with the work. But general maths was good for me. Useful, and logical and I was really good at it. I mainly liked it because it was the one subject where I didn’t have to write essays.

2. What would be your favorite subject at Hogwarts and why?
I think Charms, because I’d find it fun to make pineapples dance, and Defence Against the Dark Arts because that deals with fear, confronting you fear, overcoming fear, at least that’s the way it came across with boggarts and dementors. I like to build on mental strength, and overcoming fear does take a lot of mental strength. I should know because I’m scared SO often.

3. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Laziness. It’s my biggest downfall. It’s not that I don’t like to work hard, but I have to get over actually starting to do something. I’m too lazy to start doing things. It’s a bit of a problem when it comes to everything. Uni work, cleaning my room. Even eating sometimes. Sometimes I won’t eat because I don’t know what to eat and I’m too lazy to make myself something other than tea. Speaking of which, my throat is sore and I need some tea.

4. If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?
One thing? Goodness me. There’s so many things wrong with the world and I can only change one thing. Ok, well if I were god and could make people intelligent then I’d make everyone intelligent. Not Hannibal Lector intelligent where they manipulate others then eat them or something, but rather intelligence in the sense where they see what is really of value in life. Meaning everything Dumbledore tries to teach us. Love, family, friendship. Life won’t ever be perfect and neither will humans, but if everyone saw the importance of that we’d have a lot less miserable people in the world.

5. Which Harry Potter character can you relate to the most and why?
I think Sirius Black or Remus Lupin or Molly Weasley. Each of these characters would do anything to protect the people they love. Although, I’m not quite as reckless as Sirius and I don’t have quite so much of a low self-esteem as Remus. And I don’t think I nag as much as Molly. But they are there for the ones the love. Always. They’re always there help, to have a laugh, to do whatever. They’re there. Also Molly’s very motherly and I’m very motherly, even though I don’t have kids. I kind of mother my friends sometimes.

6. Which non-Harry Potter character can you relate to the most and why?
Jane Eyre. I read the book and I clicked with her. I agreed with every one of her opinions on life and religion. She’s strong and independent, but she still needs people. She doesn’t allow others to run her down, and I don’t allow people to insult me. I just don’t listen to insults. I listen to constructive criticism but not insults. And she’s very passionate, but she always holds by what she believes to be right. She’s got integrity.

7. Pick one quality from each of the four houses that you possess and explain why.
Gryffindor: Courage. I don’t always act courageous but it takes courage to have integrity, and it takes courage to defend your friends, and it takes courage to keep going to a school in a country you know basically nothing about (culturally speaking), where you speak the language, but don’t always understand, and on the first day some older ladies make you feel like crap. That has been my situation in the past week.
Hufflepuff: Loyalty. I’m like a dog. If I like someone I stick with them and will help them with anything they need. I’m always there for my friends, and I stick by their side, unless I know that it’s harmful to be on their side in a certain situation, but that doesn’t mean I’m not loyal. If you love someone, you don’t spoil them or always agree with them, but you do what’s good for them.
Ravenclaw: Wisdom. Mum says I’m wise and that I understand what’s important in life, and I just have a natural understanding of what to say to people when they need to put things into perspective. I reckon I agree with her.
Slytherin: Cunning. I don’t really like lying or anything (anymore…) but I still sometimes lie my way out of situations I don’t want to be in or I avoid them altogether somehow. It’s a very useful skill for someone as lazy as me.

8. Which house do you think you belong in and why?
Gryffindor, because it’s easier to throw Sirius down and shag him rotten if we’re in the same house.
sorry.
Gryffindor or Hugglepug. For the same reasons put in question 7 for those two houses.

9. Which house do you feel you'll never belong in and why?
Slytherin. If only I could be a slytherin! Unfortunatley, my lack of lies, lack of ambition and my certainty that I’m a muggle prevent me from ever joining that house. A love for the green and silver colour combination is hardly enough reason to get the hat to put me there.

10. Which Harry Potter book do you like the best and why?
Prisoner of Azkaban.
Boggarts, dementors, patronuses plenty,
Werewolves and firebolts and wizard escapees,
Black shaggy dogs and murderous rats
These are a few of my favourite… facts?

So I tried making a rhyme. So what?

11. Which Harry Potter movie do you like the best and why?
The first one. Richard Harris makes the best Dumbledore (Gambon is no Dumbledore. He’s a fraud!) And it’s the movie where Hermione is most Hermione like. I love how snobby she sounds with her frizzy hair! “I’m going to bed.”
After that comes the second movie. Because Richard Harris is the best Dumbledore.
The third one sucked because the werewolf looked more like a naked mole rat that had been the subject of scientific experiments and therefore enlarged to human size.
Fourth one was ok, but Gambon’s a fraud.
Fifth one seemed disjointed to me and the best part was the battle at the ministry. And Bellatrix. Man! She’s awesome! I hate her but she’s awesome!

12. What would you see if you looked into the Mirror of Erised?
Me, whole family including a husband and some kids of my own and a german shepherd named Gatsby. (Gatsby had a nice reassuring smile and I reckon German Shepherds also have a nice reassuring smile.)

13. If you came across a boggart, what would it transform into?
Oooh lots of different things. Heights, leeches, loved ones dead, unknown situations where I’m completely alone and don’t know where to look for help and everyone’s mean to me.

14. Which Harry Potter character is your least favorite and why?
Umbridge. I hate her and all people like her. Unfeeling idiots who have no common sense or understanding or intelligence and are so narrow minded that they think that only they can be right. I just want to hit her! Thwack! Right across the face, or the back of the head, or in the stomach! I even like Voldemort better than her. He’s evil but not annoying. I can deal with evil but annoying just pisses me off.

15. If you were in the Harry Potter universe, what would be your stance on Muggle-born wizards practicing magic?
Whatever floats your boat. Whatever’s your kink. Whatever funkies your monkey. (I love shoebox). Honestly? Unless the Muggle-born is mentally unstable in a way that is dangerous for the rest of society, or is Umbridge incarnate then they can do what they like. But if a pureblood were mentally unstable in a way that is dangerous for the rest of society or was Umbridge incarnate then I hope that they’re also prevented from doing magic.

16. What kind of qualities do you look for in a friend?
Loyalty, sense of humour. That’s all.

17. What is your favorite quote from the series and why?
I don’t have my books with me. I only have audiobooks. And they’re in Polish. (they’re so much better in Polish. Sorry Stephen Fry. I love you and all but there’s no way you’re any match for Piotr Fronczewski)
There’s that one about what’s in your head can also be real from Deathly Hallow. And then there’s a whole bunch of other ones from Dumbledore. And some from Sirius, others from Remus.
In reference to Polish audiobooks I love the way Snape says “Potter” in them. It’s so funny and wonderful and I love it. So there’s another favourite quote. Haha.
Oh! And of course “You-know-who? You should be worried about You-know-poo! The constipation sensation that’s gripping the nation!”

18. What is your favorite quote that is not related to Harry Potter and why?
“No regrets.” I don’t think it’s from anywhere really. It’s just something I started saying one day and to remind myself to never have any regrets. It’s like “laugh at your mistakes but learn from them” I think that’s from Anne of the Island or something like that. I like a lot of quotes from Anne of Green Gables and the books that follow.

19. Who is one person, real or fictional, that inspires you and why?
Mum. She’s strong, intelligent and real. I like real people. She’s down to earth, loves a lot, is very selfless (I’m pretty selfish at times) and she’s just amazing.

20. List your top five priorities in life. Why are these things so important to you?
Family: Because they’re family. My family is where I draw practically all my comfort from. They’re always there for me, and they take me for who I am. They know me with all my faults but they’re with me anyway. I can’t imagine my life without them.
Friends: Because they give me a break from my family when I need it. Haha.
Growth: Metally that is. I like to learn new things. I like to grow stronger, braver, smarter. Etc.
Morals: You need morals. They give you guidance in what course of action to chose and they keep you on the right path more often than not. If you have a strong set of morals then you tend to not do too much harm to yourself.
Optimism: I’m not going to live my life in depression. I’m going to die happy.

21. You see both a Muggle and a wizard in trouble. You have the chance to help only one. Would you help one of them or ignore the situation? If you chose to help one of them, which would you help and why?
I don’t know which one to help. Which one’s in worse trouble? Can the wizard or muggle even (who says muggles can’t help themselves) help themselves out of a situation? If it’s a situation of life or death then which one’s older, or rather which one’s got more life ahead of them? (If the 20 year old muggle’s a 20 pack a day smoker who likes to cut themselves then I’d more likely help the 153 year old wizard) Is the wizard/witch by any chance Umbridge or Voldemort? Is the muggle an evil politician planning world domination?
Your question arises many other questions. You really have to be in the situation to know now don’t you?

22. Under what circumstances would you use an Unforgivable Curse?
Defence of self or defence of another person. Or maybe to save the world. If the world is worth saving, that is.

23. Under what circumstances would you work for Voldemort?
None whatsoever. I don’t agree with him or his ideas. My parents wouldn’t be proud of me if I gave up my own morals to save my life or theirs.

24. If you happened upon a Time Turner, how would you use it?
Oh, if I could go back in time without messing stuff up, I’d go have a chat with my grandma, she has alzheimer’s. I keep hearing stories about how awesome she was. She’s still awesome but it’d be nice to have a chat with her. Maybe in another life.

25. Will you remain an active member of the community?
I shall remain active until the wind changes *hums a spoon full of sugar*
That's a yes.
