01. When you die what would you most like people to do when they hear your name?
4. I don't care what people think about me when after I'm dead, it's when I'm alive that matters.

I would like it to be good things, but honestly, why would I care? I will be gone and either gone or in another place with other concerns. Let folks say whatever they would like.

02. What power would you like to have?
6. The ability to talk to animals

I prefer animals over people. The ability to converse with them would amazing.

03. What are you most looking forward to learning at Hogwarts?
7. Every area of magic I can

I can't choose just one- all are fascinating and would be useful. My favorites would be transfiguration and the care of magical creatures, but the others would be just as intriguing. I can't choose just one, so I would have to say every area of magic I can.

04. Which road tempts you the most?
2. The Narrow dark lantern lit alley

Mystery just waiting to be discovered in the darkness... yes, this would be my choice.

05. Four boxes are placed before you. Which do you open?
2. The gleaming jet black box with a silver lock and key, marked with a mysterious rune that you know to be the mark of Merlin

Merlin. Wasn't even a question after seeing that. Merlin has been a favorite character of mine long before JK Rowling even though of publishing her series. To have something of his? Of course I am grabbing that box.

06. You are walking and come to a crossroads. Which path do you take?
1. The path that leads to a beach

Love the ocean, one of the rare places I truly feel at home no matter where the beach and ocean is. It is home.

07. Which item would you pick out of a chest?
6. Old book

One can never have too many books, nor have too much of the knowledge one can glean from them. I would grab the old book and run.

08. How would you like to be remembered in history?
1. Being Wise

Out of the choices, the only one that I feel is truly important, that truly leaves a lasting and important mark on the world would be wisdom.

09. Would you rather invent a potion that would give you...
4. Wisdom?

Out of all the options, I find wisdom to be the most useful and important. Love is fleeting as is power. Glory is meaningless.

10. Which do you find most difficult to deal with?
1. Boredom

When I am bored, I tend to find myself getting into trouble and out of all the options, it is the most difficult for me to deal with. The others I can handle without getting myself worked up or in trouble.

11. Four goblets are placed in front of you, which would you choose to drink?
4. Mysterious black liquid, which gives the drinker strange visions

Sounds adventurous and something that would offer knowledge. Visions can be an important tool for guidance.

12. A troll has gone berserk in the headmaster’s office and is going to destroy the precious items. In what order would you save the following?
2. Merlin’s Books

The knowledge in these books would be priceless and the only thing worth saving.

13. Once every century, the Flutterby bush produces flowers that adapt their scent to attract the unwary. What would they smell like to you?
1. The sea
I love the water, especially the sea. I was born on the coast, spent the first few years of my life right next to the water (Barnstable, MA) and when we moved, we moved north and inland, but still close to the coast and on an island in the Penobscot River.

14. Which would you most hate being called by other people?
3. Being Ignorant

I pride myself on my intelligence and my knowledge. To be classified as ignorant would be disgusting to me.

15. Which would you rather be?
2. Imitated

The option I would most like isn't offered- simply respected, would be my first choice. I would say imitated would be the closest option to respected that was given.

16. A muggle confronts you and says that they are sure you are a witch or wizard. Do you:
1. Ask what makes them think so

I'd ask. Who is to say they are a muggle? Maybe they are a witch or wizard. And it also depends on what their definition of a witch or wizard is... Even though they most likely aren't a witch or a wizard in the Potter sense, given the question does describe them as a muggle, it would be fascinating to hear their reasoning and what they thought was so different or special about them that gives them the idea that they are a witch or a wizard.

17. Which are you most afraid of?
2. Small Spaces

I'm claustrophobic and do not deal well when enclosed in small spaces.

18. One of your house mates has cheated in a Hogwarts exam by using a self-spelling quill. Now he has come top of the class in Charms, pushing you into second place. Professor Flitwick is suspicious of what happened. He draws you to one side after his lesson and asks you whether or not your classmate used a forbidden quill. What do you do?
4. You would not wait to be asked to tell Professor Flitwick the truth. If you knew that somebody was using a forbidden quill, you would tell the teacher before the exam started.

If I was taking an exam and was aware of someone cheating on it, I would turn them in. No questions asked. Why should someone have an unfair advantage and get rewarded for it? I don't care if they were my best friend, I would turn them in.

19. Which of the following would you most like to study?
6. Werevoles

Question- is this a typo and like the pottermore application it is 'werewolves' or do you mean 'werevoles'?

My answer would be different if you mean werevoles- although sitting here, thinking about it, werevoles might be rather amusing and interesting to study....

However- if you mean werewolves, it would be werewolves. I am fascinated by the myth of shape-shifters in many cultures (my own included), and in the animagus type folks of the Potter world. I also am rather partial to wolves as they are my favorite wild animal. It would stand to reason that I would like to study them.

If you don't mean werewolves, I will say Merpeople. Given my preference for water, the thought of being able to live underwater.... fascinating.

20. A troll stops you and your group at a bridge and demands one of you fight him before you can pass.
3. Try and trick the troll into letting you all pass without fighting him.

Far better to live to fight another day if faced with insurmountable odds in a fight. I would do my best to fool the troll- after all its brawn is more to be feared than its intelligence.

21. What is the first thing you'd explore in a magical garden?
3. The bubbling pool, in the depths of which something luminous is swirling

All of the options were fascinating, but I love the water and am drawn to it, so I would say the bubbling pool is what I would go to first. Also the tempting shadows of something lurking in its depth would be too much for my curiosity to ignore.

22. Which of the following would you consider the scariest nightmare?
4. Being in a windowless, dark room with an eye looking through the keyhole

As I mentioned in a previous question, being enclosed in small spaces is not something I am at all comfortable with. Being enclosed in a small space that I was locked in, without being able to see out and see what is going on around me, being in complete darkness and having something staring at me that I do not know what it is? Not a pleasant place for me to be.

23. Late at night, walking alone down the street, you hear a peculiar cry that you believe to have a magical source. Do you:
4 Withdraw into the shadows to await developments, while mentally reviewing the most appropriate defensive and offensive spells, should trouble occur?

No point in charging into a situation without knowing at least the basics of what to expect. No point in charging into a situation where your charge could be interpreted as a hostile action. Better to sit back and observe. Gather information while preparing for both the best and the worst possible outcome.

24. Which do you prefer?
1. Moon

Moons are fascinating. Stars are simply exploding balls of gas. Moons are planets, far more to explore on a moon than a star- at least for me personally. I am sure there are others who would find the exploding gas to hold more fascination and exploratory potential. Not for me though.

25. Which do you prefer?
1. River

I love the water and was raised near a river. I love sitting on a river bank enjoying the sounds of the water and wildlife. With the exception of the mosquitoes and gnats. That is what bug spray is good for.

26. Which do you prefer?
2. Dusk

I am not a morning person and prefer the evening and night so dusk would be the closest appropriate option for me.

27. Which piece would you choose while playing chess?
1. Black

White always goes first and with it might provide the opposing player a false sense of security in being able to make the first move. That can be used to my advantage.

28. You arrive at a fork in the road. Not knowing what lies down either way, do you go…
1. Right

I'm right handed, I'd go right.
