IC Information:
Name: Terry Mcginnis - Batman
Fandom: Batman Beyond
Timeline: Post ‘Eggbaby’ episode, Season 2.
Age: 17 years old

Appearance: Terry Mcginnis is built long, lean, and strong. He stands at 5’10” and weighs about 170 lbs, and his pale complexion when paired with his dark hair and bright blue eyes makes him a striking individual, though he's certainly not the hottest kid in school.

Abilities: Terry is extraordinarily athletic. Though a lot of that is due to his genetics/his heritage, growing up in Gotham City taught Terry how to fight to survive. He's very strong, and very agile. He has no problem performing back handsprings in a spur-of-the-moment situation, and his reflexes are honed. Basically, Terry is an athlete. He has endurance, speed, and strength on his side, but nothing more than a typical human could possess.

With the suit, it's a different story. For my own sanity/accuracy, I have borrowed a list of the suit's functions from the DC Comics Database.

-Enhanced strength by a factor of ten, ultimately allowing him to lift up to 1700 lbs.
-Minimal reduction (or increase) in flexibility.
-Enhanced visual assistance that allows him to see in the dark (visual from the Batsuit can be fed back to the main computer in the Batcave; it can also receive visual from the main computer, allowing for superior tactical planning). The visor can also serve as digital binoculars and an infra-red filter.
-Personal communicator allows Terry to keep in constant contact with Bruce at the Batcave.
-Enhanced ballistic protection.
-Significantly resistant to heat, electricity, water, and vibrations, but only slightly resistant to radiation.
-Built-in rebreather for underwater combat/exploration.
-Dispensable Batarangs with a range of auxiliary functions, such as producing electric shocks. However, there is a limit to the amount of Batarangs the Batsuit can dispense; Batman has run out on at least one occasion.
-Electrical discharges throughout the suit that can be activated by pushing the button on the belt.
-Grappling guns built into the forearms.
-Flashbang grenades.
-Smoke pellets.
-Flexicuffs.
-Launchable tracers.
-A retractable PIN or password decipherer in the form of a key on the right index finger.
-Retractable wings under the arms to glide on.
-Rocket boots enabling limited flight.
-Electromagnetic pads in the soles of the boots enabling him to cling to walls and ceilings.
-Sensitive touch microphone on index and middle fingers that permits eavesdropping through solid surfaces.
-Drug identifier, utilized by dipping fingers into the substance.
-Built-in cloaking device that enables almost complete camouflage. It allows camouflage extending into the visible light and infrared frequencies of the electromagnetic spectrum. A countermeasure used by Commissioner Barbara Gordon to this in one incident where she was hunting Batman down was through tracking him using an ultraviolet light to illuminate him.
-Retractable claws which can be used to slice or facilitate climbing.
-Can uplink with the Batmobile for remote piloting.
-A remote kill function that can externally deactivate the suit from the Batcave.
-The belt buckle also serves as a buzz saw to get out of a room quickly or to cut through denser material.

Personality: If you were to bump into Terry at school, you might think he's a nice, if lazy sort of guy who maybe doesn't care about his education as much as he should. He'll be the first to stick his nose into someone's business if they're getting bullied, and he isn't intimidated by bullies or threats. Whether it's putting a member of the Jokerz gang in their place on a public train, or squaring off with your run of the mill jocks, Terry handles them all with some well-aimed snark and his fists. The school officials do not appreciate the latter, and more than one note has gotten sent home to his parents.

If you catch the teen sleeping in class, it's not because he finds it boring. No, Terry lives something of a double life. High school student, big brother, and devoted son by day, fighting crime as Batman by night. Though he's still a young man, Terry has willingly taken on the infamous cape and cowl of the Bat, and he's learned that an enormous amount of responsibility comes with donning the suit.

Mentored by the great Bruce Wayne himself, the young man still gets a thrill out of the adrenaline rush at times. Flying, driving the Batmobile, fighting crime with seemingly limitless power. It can be great. But he can never forget that there are people's lives at stake--and if Batman had been around, if he had been around, maybe his dad wouldn't have had to die.

Terry definitely has a wide protective streak. He refuses to allow his friend Maxine get involved even though maybe, in reality, he really could use the help. Her safety is the priority. People's safety always is. If it comes down to saving someone's life, or capturing the perpetrator? The innocents come first every time.

Confident and level-headed, he's not inclined to panicking in bad situations. Sometimes, he can overestimate his abilities. He's even been known to go toe-to-toe with Bruce on issues, feeling like the older, bitter man just doesn't understand. More often than not, Bruce is right, and Terry is wrong. Terry isn't too proud to admit he's wrong, at least. He's also willing to give people a chance, and has tried several times to appeal to criminals' good side with varying successes. Betray him though... well, Terry knows better than to trust you again. Good luck getting back into his good graces.

Despite the occasional scuffles he gets in at school, Terry is a good kid, and he's shaping up to be a good Batman. Sure, he has problems juggling his 'real' life and his nightlife (sorry, Dana, he loves you), but he means well. Whenever it's vital, Terry'll come through for you, one way or another. He's the sort of person you want watching your back.

History: Life had its ups and downs for Terry. His parents were divorced, and he lived with his father. He admits that he used to be a bad kid, running with gangs and eventually serving three months of time in juvenile hall. He didn't respect authority, and he certainly didn't respect his father. After a particularly nasty run-in with a rival gang, the Jokerz, Terry stumbled upon the Wayne Manor, and helped Bruce Wayne fend off the pack.

After helping the elderly man inside, Terry accidentally discovered the Batcave, and was promptly kicked out. When he returned home, police were swarming the place. The Jokerz had somehow tracked him down, and taken revenge upon his father--claiming his life in the process. Terry felt responsible. If he had only been home, he could have helped his dad to fight them off. He discovered that his father's boss, Derek Powers, was behind the murder, and went to Bruce asking for help. Bruce allowed him in, but said that he had given up being Batman, and there was nothing that could be done.

Determined, Terry stole one of Bruce's suits and took matters into his own hands. Bruce activated the suit's kill-switch mid-fight, but after Terry pleaded with him, he agreed to help the young man out. Soon after, he decided to mentor Terry, and they formed a partnerships. Bruce was the brains, and Terry was the brawn.

Commissioner Barbara Gordon does attempt to stop Terry, knowing how dangerous the lifestyle is, but when Batman helped to save her and her husband, she slowly began to reconsider. The road is still rocky at times, but Terry is quickly learning just what it means to be Batman--and he's not about to give up on protecting the city of Gotham if he has any say about it.

Roleplay Sample - Log: Every inch of him still hurt. He studied the bumps and the bruises in the mirror, glowering for a long moment as he recalled the incidents that had led to them. Most of them. Some of them just sprouted out of nowhere, it seemed like--but the bruised ribs? Yeah, no, that was from things falling on him. Yet again.

Had it all been worth it? Heck yes it had. An A+ on the Eggbaby project? Passing Family Studies so he'd never have to take it again? Worth every single scratch. And as an added bonus, Bruce had let him take the night off so he could pretend to catch up on his sleep. Grinning at himself in the mirror, Terry carefully wound fresh bandages around his chest, and wouldn't be long until he was crawling into bed.

Problem was, there was already someone in it.

Uttering one of the most emasculating sounds he'd made in weeks now, Terry bodily shoved whoever it was off the side with his feet, leaping onto the mattress and unconsciously shifting into a fighting stance. That was about the time the howls of Matt's laughter registered in his mind.

"You are so dead, twip."

Roleplay Sample - Journal: [He looks disgruntled, disheveled, and like someone just yanked him out of bed. They did, in a manner of speaking. How much did they know? Why would they pick a random kid like him unless they knew?]

Where's the suit? [The most important question, the only question he needs answered right now. It's sure not with him, and if he can't get it back, can't figure out where he is...]

[...Yeah, he's totally fragged, isn't he?]

This game includes horrible mental and physical torture of your character. After reading the rules/faq for clarification, how do you expect your character to handle this and continue to function? Terry is going to do what he does best: try and put an end to it anyway he can, even if that means sacrificing himself. There may be times where he breaks down and just needs to be alone, but he’s not going to give up. He’s witnessed messed up things before--and Bruce Wayne wouldn’t give up so easily, so there’s no way he can, either. In the end, the thing that would matter most to him would be helping the other test subjects within the facility.

Overall Info Rating: G - whatever, idek.
Death: No problem! Just talk to me beforehand!
Smut: Suuuure thing! I'd love to have plots with it, however, since Terry does have a girlfriend~
Yaoi - Het - Yuri: Terry's straight, so het is a go. I have no problem with yaoi, either.
