Tutorial: Making Screencaps

UPDATE (25 September 2006): I have added two more tutorials for Windows Media Player and Media Player Classic :D

In this simple tutorial, you'll learn how to make captures of your favourite videos using PowerDVD 5, Windows Media Player and Media Player Classic. If you're unsure of anything, feel free to ask! I'll try my best to assist you :)

I've been using wmv so far... I wonder if there's a difference in quality? Or does quality depend only on the video. hmmm.

Hullo there!

Came across your tutorial and it looked really awesome. Never done screencaps before so I had to have a go.

I have Windows Media 10 and run Windows XP on my PC, I also have Power DVD (don'tknow what version though), but neither of these captures an image.

I manage to capture the frame of the Media Player and Power DVD (using print screen), but it still shows the moving image of the DVD playing, even though I unticked 'overlays' (on media player).
Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to rip my DVD to the hard disk?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
