((So, I'm sure most everyone has heard already, but if not, it's been announced and confirmed that hyori is getting married. While I'm thrilled for her and wish her loads of happiness, I'm not quite sure what to do IC-wise. Given that she's a non-au muse so far I know I have been using what wiggle room that I had as far as ignoring her ( Read more... )

[[ als;kdfjlasdf. i hadn't heard but omgggg. awesome/not awesome? i can certainly share advice and feelings on the non-au/going-slightly au side if you'd like but i really think the final decision should be up to you and to your muse. it's not easy (k and i can tell you) but i think this sort of thing is pretty personal and totally about how you two feel in the end. ♥

(you were one of the main ones I thought of when I asked for advice :-P And I know in the end it's up to me, but at the same time I feel like I should be reasonably respectful to those she's close to as well, you know? I'm excited for her, and I think it'd be an interesting thing to play out... but at the same time like I said before, without another half to play with/feed off of/etc, I feel like I wouldn't do it justice without just making everything up on my own, which seems like it'd be a bit overwhelming. There's even a part of me that wonders if the real is pregnant, given that she took an unexpected three weeks off in the middle of promotions and now this is all so sudden, and given how she was muse-wise a baby would be wonderful but... bleh. I'm not making any decisions right away though so. But feel free to message any time :-P If all else fails they can still chat!)

[[ As a mun this puts me in a very awkward position, considering Shimji's relationship with Hyori. It's quite disjointed, especially in my muse's mind, that she was dating someone a few months ago and is now suddenly marrying someone else. Also, given their past together, he feels quite strange and a little unhappy about the whole thing although he does support her and want her to be happy.

On the whole, it's just very difficult to incorporate it into IC. I'm sure it's not easy for you, either, but I don't know what I would do in that situation other than write it off as a media play.. even that's a little far though. I don't know what to tell you other than I sympathize.

(Believe me, it's completely disjointed for me too, which is why I don't know what I'm going to do. If I keep her non-au I have to follow along.. If I take her au.. Well I wouldn't even know where to begin, and then the relationships with friends she has that want to stay strictly non-au are severed.. I'm at a loss, and don't even begin to know how to explain it and make it... Coherent. If you have time though, message me.)

[[there was that meisa muse, when she got married, who went au in that aspect first and then ended up splitting, i think?... i'm sorry for not looking up her journals to properly name her right now, not on a good connection. i know it might be just as hard to maintain dual hyori muses with separate realities for the sake of keeping all her friendships and herself happy, as to basically... make up everything on your own about the whole relationship, as you pointed out. which also would be painfully likely to get jossed whenever she talks about their relationship in interviews or anything like that, and since it seems like there's not very much out there about him, it's really hard to do in the first place, and................ ugh man i feel for you ( ... )
