So I found out last night that my dad has prostate cancer. My mom said that the doctor is giving them a couple of weeks to figure out what type of treatment they want. By what my mom was telling me it seemes like they caught it early and if they remove the prostate they could get it all and he could be ok. My mom seemed scared at the possibility

it should be okay.. my grandfather had it, my family didnt want to tell me because they knew i would worry but they caught it fast and they cut it out and he was okay.. i hope the same for your dad!

Yeah I'm pretty sure my grandpa had it too. When men get cancer it never seems to be as severe as when women get it. What's up with that?!

But anywho, I have a feeling that everything will be okay :) If you need anything my love I am down the st. And you have my key, so yeah. Also, I would like to see you soon :)

I'm sorry Steph. I know what a scary feeling that is, to have something so scary happen to a parent. It's an awful feeling. My Mom was diagnosed at 42, but they caught it way too late. You are very lucky that they caught your Dad's early, thats a very, very good sign. Anyways, before I start rambling on about this, I am sorry that your dad, you, and your family I have to go through this, but I hope for all the best.
