I brought my iBook to work today and was watching a BBC news story when all of the sudden the sound cut out and the screen went blank. I tried turning it on a few times and nothing happened so then I tried a few things that apple.com suggested and they didn't seem to work. OMG that happened to me on my computer once. i was downstairs and then it started making these weird noises and shut itself off. god i almost DIED but then it just worked itself out i guess? i dunno...back those files up man!

My HD did die. Permanently.

It sucks. I still feel like I've lost a limb...not really, because I backed up everything over the summer and hadn't uploaded new pics recently so it wasn't that bad. But it still cost me $150, and honestly that hurt more than anything else.

i got my computer back today.
everything on it is gone.

ive been working on my music collection since like 2002.
i think i can get some of it off my ipod but i dunno.
