I agree. It ISN'T fair to hate people because they are morons. But I can understand not wanting (who one understands to be a moron anyway) a moron to run one's country. Luckily, I live in a hole under a rock so I don't have to worry about who is running the country. This is why I plan to get my PhD. More under-rock time. Yay math!

and... I feel you on the late-arrival thing. I WISH SO HARD I had been taking voice lessons when I was ten. You would NOT believe how early the opera majors that I hang out with began singing. And these are kids that are studying opera at a state school. Or at least had begun before junior year. Now, I am not even good enough to get the solo for U. Choir.... and that just makes me sad.

Oh and guess what?! A girl that goes to Portland State U. (and is super nice to boot) is singing the lead role in Die Fledermaus this coming April for Opera Grand Rapids. We love pants roles over here, what can I say?
