I totally agree. I think if the American public would actually do the research themselves instead of going with what the media spoon feeds, then people would be a lot wiser. However, most people just don't want to take the time or energy to care about such things, and they leave such thinking to the politicians and intellectuals, because thinking for yourself requires actual *gasp* WORK, and the American public is lazy in general as a unit.

I consider myself conservative primarily because I agree with a lot of moral issues in the conservative party (prohibiting abortion for example) That being said however, I also want to see that the laws of the constitution are upheld and I subscribe to being a constitutionalist in addition to that.

I agree with rocketscientist. Send this to someone. Or at least start your own independent political blog out there someplace where it can be seen.
