"RIKU! RIKU WAIT UP!"
The silver-haired boy didn't even pause as he kept running from the pier, along the path that went past the waterfall before stopping at an opening right beside their tree house that Sora's dad was working on when he wasn't actually working. He was only putting the opening in the tree, it was up to them to do everything else as Sora's father had told them. The little boy crossed his arms as the spikey haired little boy tottles after him, leaning forward as he catches his breath. "Why would I wait up? It's a race, stupid."
"I'm not stupid!"
"Yes you are."
"No, I'm not."
"Yes, you are."
The both of them pause for a brief a moment, both of them glaring at each other before starting to shout each other. It ended up as it always had before, with Riku pushing Sora in the water and Sora pulled him along with him. The two kids started wrestling as they always did. And continued to do so even when they were older before they both dragged themselves out of the water and moved to lay on their backs, looking up at the sky as they dried off that way. Riku's arms behind his back as he smiled quietly to himself before Sora practically jumped up, raising his fists. "Let's play hide and seek! You're it first."
"That's not fair! You're the one who suggested it so...you're it." Riku huffed before pushing Sora and folding his arms. "Start. Counting." Sora pouted for a brief moment, but really. He did want to play the game so he just went against the tree and started counting before Riku ran off. Riku had hid in a tree, keeping himself out of sight as he watched Sora run by. He didn't say anything, stifling the giggles as Sora went out of sight before he heard his friend give out a shout. It took him a couple minutes to actually get down from the tree, running over to where Sora was and stopping short of actually getting to him. Sora had found a girl. His friend stared down at her before right back at Riku as he walked over.
"I've never seen her before," Sora blinked wildly as Riku looked her over. She wasn't from the mainland. They came from a small town, they knew everyone on the mainland and this girl was never there. "Maybe she's a mermaid!"
"She's not a mermaid! She'd have fins, dummy." Riku interrupted him as he knelt down next to her. Sora on the other side. Riku put his head on her back, making sure the girl was still breathing (something he had seen when stupid Tidus got too far in the water and almost drowned and the lifeguard had to save him). The little boy wrinkling his nose as he thought about what he was doing as he sat back as the girl continued to lay there. Sora didn't seem to know whether or not this was a good thing or bad thing, but he was sitting on the other side panicking.
"Maybe she's an alien!"
"She'd be green, idiot. WITH TENTACLES!"
"Maybe she's wearing a disgust."
"...Disguise, stupid."
"I'm not stupid!"
Riku and Sora glared at each other from separate sides, the girl remaining asleep. To Riku, he had his own theories. Since those people came. She was probably from a different world like them. Riku's eyes sparkled in curiosity as Sora worried if the girl was ever going to wake up. "Is she gonna be alright? Riku, when is she going to wake up?" A horrified look crossed Sora's face dramatically. "Is she dead?!"
"She's breathing, Sora. She's not dead." He paused for a moment, thinking back to stories that his mom and grandma told him about stories of princesses and being awakened by true love's kiss. The two boys looked down at her. "Sora, kiss her."
"What?!?!?! GIRLS HAVE COOTIES. You know this!" Riku scoffed rolling his eyes a bit, kissing the girl's cheek and staring down at her for a moment. He looked up at Sora who looked like someone had just stabbed him, pale and horrified. "Riku what did you do!?" Riku didn't say anything for the longest time as he waited to see if the girl would wake up. Clearly? Riku was not her true love. The little boy didn't seem to feel to bad about that as he sat up again and pointed to his friend. "Riku you have cooties!"
"I got my cootie shot," the older boy deadpanned. Riku folded his arms in front of his chest, frowning a little that he really couldn't help the girl before he shoved at Sora a little. "You try." Sora shook his head quickly. The silver haired boy pushed him a little towards the girl and Sora flailed wildly like he was being pushed into a vat of boiling acid.
He flailed some more as Riku finally let go of him. "I didn't get a cootie shot! I don't want cooties, Riku. I might die. Wakka said that a boy died from cooties a long time ago like...last month." Riku just stared at him with a blank expression on his face as Sora got to his feet. "I'm just gonna get my dad--" Sora tripped. Falling face forward, the younger of the two boy's practically landing on top of the girl and kissing the sleeping girl. Sora jumped five feet in the air, Riku stared for a moment. Holding his breath as the girl's eyes slowly started to open as she slowly started to wake up and Sora quickly recovered to try and help her.
Riku slowly wakes up, running his hand down his face for a moment before looking over at the 'berry before just flipping it over so the screen was facing the nightstand.
