I did read this post when it was first submitted!! I just haven't had the chance to commentWell I am an Aoshi fan and I can somewhat understand the lack of interest in him. However I'd like to point out the problem is possibly due to the fact that he is part of the secondary cast and given the little scenes he has in the Anime or Manga he could easily end up as uninteresting and disregarded among the fans. How he behaves and what he does is left up to the readers/viewers to analyse. Often that's where fanfiction comes in. Aoshi initially didn't start off as my favourite character. I thought he was cool with the Kodachi and trench coat but that was it. Only when I started writing him a few times did a weird fondness suddenly occur. He seemed interesting and ignored ( ... )
