[ The feed clicks on, the only thing in view is the side of a woman's fish-netted leg as it's owner unintentionally holds the camera facing. The owner doesn't speak immediately, in fact, there is a long silence before she begins moving, her steps hesitant. After she stops moving again, she brings the camera up to her face

[She's just been lounging in the living room, her communicator up in her room and untouched for the time being. Her legs swing over the armrest, heels bouncing off of the side of the couch in rhythmic thumps until she hears the door close. For a second her movements freeze and she perks up just a little.]

Sasuke? [Who else could it be? She is better off ignoring that little spark of hope in her chest as she sits up further, peeking out toward the front door though it isn't quite in her sights just yet.] Hey, say "hi" like a normal person!

[ Kasuga can't help but to feel a small pang at the shinobi's name. Maybe it had been a long time and just maybe she no longer had a home and partner. Hesitantly, she stalks forward into view before speaking, her eyes on the floor. ]

I am afraid I am not who you were expecting.

[ action ]

[Time seems to pass very slowly for the younger of the two, dark eyes widening and her jaw dropping until she can manage to regather herself in one quick movement of leaping off of the couch and bounding toward the blond.]

You're home! [It's the only thing she exclaims before she's throwing herself at Kasuga as ungracefully as possible.] I was looking everywhere and then I thought you wouldn't come back but now you're back and everyone will be so happy to see you again I seriously checked under rocks and over walls and where have you been?! [As expected, all in one breath...]

[ Kasuga manages to throw a foot back to brace herself just in time to keep herself from tumbling from Yuffie's attack. Arms go around the younger girl briefly before she pulls away to get a good look at her. She didn't look a year older, at least.

She blinked. ] U-Under rocks? That-- That was unnecessary! BREW had returned me to Hi-no-Moto, it has been some time... at least, for me. I cannot tell how long I have been away. [ A beat. ] I apologize for any trouble my disappearance put you through...

[Her head bobs in a rapid nod, she had indeed looked under rocks, and at one point she might have been checking closets and cupboards but she won't admit to that much just yet.]

Back home? That happened to Sasuke, too, before... [The corners of her lips tug downward in a frown, mentally shaking a fist at BREW. Why did that thing feel it necessary to keep teasing her like this? Taking them away, bringing them back, taking them away -- her heart couldn't take it!] It's okay now, 'cause you're back. [And just as soon as it had gone, her smile returns, beaming just as brightly as before.] You know, the first few days I was really worried, but then after that I started thinking you went home for good and I tried to be happy for you but I missed you a lot! You're not allowed to go again!

[ She nods. ] Yes, I remember as much. Sanada Yukimura had me searching for him upon my arrival, yet he was not to be found. [ She also remembered quite clearly how he had caught her upon his own return as she had been waiting for Kenshin, only he never came.

Kasuga inclines her head slightly in a bow. ] I inconvenienced you in a way I had never intended, I hope that you may forgive me. [ As she lifts her head, the corners of her lips twitch into the slightest of smiles. ] I will be sure that BREW does not return me again without your permission.

[Taking a step back, Yuffie stretches her arms up and folds them back behind her head lazily.] Good! You know, my forgiveness is really hard to get. It's pretty bad, my trust is completely broken here!

[Which is as far as she goes with the jokes before she's chuckling to herself.] But if you promise to keep making dinner for us, everything'll be fine again. [Because Yuffie trying to survive off of food that was not Kasuga-prepared was the worst experience ever!]

[ Yuffie's words caused the smile to go to her eyes, though her lips did not turn up any more. Kasuga was, after all, a very lucky woman to have such an understanding partner. ] Was his cooking that bad? [ She questioned the male of their trio's abilities. It would make her feel more accomplished to know that she was the better cook of the two.

Speaking of... Her mouth slackens. ] I hope that he was not too terrible while I was gone.

[Her only answer to that is another laugh, her arms relaxing at her sides again after rubbing a finger just under her nose. Sadly, Sasuke's cooking isn't half as awful as her own...]

Uh, well... [She trails off for a few seconds, looking off to the side as if waiting for said Weapon to appear and defend himself. Frowning a little her eyes lift to Kasuga's again and she smiles once more, smaller than the previous.] Nah, he's easy for me to handle. You know me, there's nothing that I can't take care of! There was a lot to keep me busy, though. One of my friends from home showed up! That was really exciting, she's a lot like you so you'd be great friends~

[And finally the front door opens slightly to admit a head peeking in.]

Did somebody say "super best friend"-

Oh, it's you. [He feigns a disappointed expression and swings the door open wider so he can lean against the frame.] You sure took your time getting back. All up to date, now?

[He'd never admit it, but he's relieved. Her initial disappearance was only compounded by Sanada no Danna following suit. Having one of them back is better than none.]

[ Kasuga had just opened her mouth to respond to Yuffie when the shinobi quite suddenly makes his appearance, causing her to visably jump. ]

S-Sarutobi! [ She wheels around to face him, glaring. ] Do not do that again! [ All it takes is a second for her expression to harden as she crosses her arms under her chest, nodding slightly. ] Unless there is something I have not been informed of.

[ Pivoting half way on her foot, she half-turns to Yuffie while still keeping a wary eye on Sasuke. ] Your friend-- I would like to meet her.

[Speak of the de-... ninja.

She leans to the side a little, peeking around Kasuga to better view her other Weapon.] Took you long enough! [Snicker, snicker. Yuffie looks up to Kasuga once again, scratching at the back of her head.] You will, you will. But he's not allowed to! [An accusing jab of her thumb toward Sasuke before she's glancing away. A spot on the wall just became very, very interesting to look at.]

I already gave her a giant hug, it's your turn now! Otherwise she's gonna feel like you don't care if she was gone or not. [Speaking to Sasuke, though she avoids looking at either of them.]

Whatever you say. [To the both of them! It's fairly safe to assume that he will continue to ninja about regardless. And any friend of Yuffie's is probably crazy. Especially if they are like Kasuga, and he doesn't need two dangerous women throwing sharp objects at him.]

[He blinks once.] Oh? [This is a surprise. He sure isn't going to argue, though. He shrugs and sighs in mock-resignation as he straightens up from the door frame.] Well then, Meister's orders, there's nothing for it...

[Oh Kasuga~ He's ambling quite casually yet oh-so-purposefully towards you!]

Yuffie, don't tell him to do such--

[ Too late. She took a half-step back in surprise. ] D-Don't you dare. [ She sputtered, her cheeks tinting as he advanced upon her. Another step back and a quick glare at her partner. ] [ A third step and her harsh glare turned to Sasuke instead. The most subtle motion of her wrist would have brought her kunai to her fingers, but for one minor problem...

BREW had taken her weapons. Eyes went wider yet and with a forth step she threw her hands up in defense. ] S-Sarutobi-- W-Wait!

[wutaisrose]

Wow, what's this over here....

[And she's too busy acting like she doesn't notice a thing. In fact, the smaller of the three has turned her back on them completely, flicking at invisible pieces of lint that are apparently stuck to her shorts all the while trying to hide the sudden shaking of her shoulders as she muffles her laughs.]

[Even if she isn't armed, Kasuga is still dangerous, and it doesn't take a genius to work out exactly what will come of trying to hug the kunoichi. It involves pain.

Which is why this has to be handled tactfully.]

Taichou. [The only time he'll ever act as if Yuffie is his superior. His voice is serious.] Your Weapon is being insubordinate. Considering the resistance, my tactical appraisal of the situation...

[He coughs quietly.] I believe this calls for a Group Hug. [Because they're one big happy family. And it's safer. And just overall better from his position.]
