[The video opens to a view of the kitchen, except you'd never know it since it's pretty much stained in black splotches and pieces of miscellaneous food (maybe - who knows if it was ever edible) laid about. Natalia comes stepping into sight a second later, oven mitts over her hands and between them a giant pot of do-you-even-want-to-know? That

It is difficult being in the group left here, isn't it?

[ Sakura understands -- two of her closest friends from home were able to go since they had stable partners while she stayed in the city.

She almost comments on the contents of the pot but... thinks better of it for the moment. ]

[Natalia frowns slightly and curls a hand beneath her chin in thought.] It is... worrying, mostly. I know I could help if they would just let me go.

[Then a sigh.] But without a partner I feel helpless. [The "stew" bubbles and pops, is it contributing to the conversation? Scary...]

I understand the sentiment. It's hard going from a war at home to the one here, because the details of fighting in it are so different and, at times, limited. Especially if you're without a partner.

[ That 'pop' causes her to glance down at the pot, arching an eyebrow. ]

Cooking for Christmas?

Yes, "limited" is how it feels and that, in turn, becomes very frustrating.

[Her eyes fall to the pot and a smile tugs at her lips.]

I thought it would be a good idea. I'm still not sure what is supposed to be done, but if I can perfect some sort of dish I think it will make everybody happy. Does it look alright?

Absolutely. Have you tried to find a partner yet?

[ Sakura looks at it again, assesses the damage, and continues slowly. ]

I find that even certain dishes that don't look outwardly attractive are still generally quite delicious. [ It might look a bit like swamp water, but maybe it still tastes really good! ]

Well, no... I suppose I could look more aggressively, but I have not heard of many Weapons that are tailored to archers.

[Th-That's... the nicest thing anyone has ever said about her cooking. Excuse the surprised blink, but Natalia quickly recovers and nods.]

I agree! It does not have to look good for it to taste good. If I could just catch my taste tester, then I would know for sure.

My Weapon form would be rather useless in a case like that, but I'm sure that there are a few around who take a form that would work with an archer.

[ She brightens a bit. ]

Exactly! And good luck finding them, I'm sure they'll be more than happy to test it for you.

[Her head tilts to one side.] What type of weapon do you become?

[In her mind there is a mental image of Luke cringing...] They should be! He agreed, after all. I cannot get better without his help.

It's called a forehead protector. Something that ninja wear in my world. It provides strength and knowledge of how to use techniques from my world, and also gives the Meister the ability to heal.

[ There's a short pause in which she realizes something. ]

I'm Sakura, by the way. I get so used to talking to people over the network I sometimes forget that introductions are in order.

Ninja? [She might remember a story about something like that, but she frowns in thought as she tries to picture it.] I'm not sure I know anything about that, but giving the ability to heal is going to be very helpful.

[Oh no! A princess without proper manners, how terrible!] My! I should have said something from the beginning, I'm sorry. Sakura, it is nice to meet you. My name is Natalia.

I think they're comparable to samurai, if you have them in your world? [ At least from what she hears. ] Did you have healers, where you come from?

And it's nice to meet you, too.

Oh, my! [It still seems strange, but she's sure there are odder things out there.] Yes, I myself am one. Or... was? Here I understand that we Meisters are given abilities, so maybe it is something that I could do on Auldrant though I haven't quite figured it out yet.

That's definitely possible. I hear that Meister abilities can be based on things you did or were able to do back in your home world.
