Does anyone know what South Italy's like? As a place, I mean.

[a good pause here, but the text does a nice job of covering it up. he's going to be a bit inane, but forgive him for that:]It seems like it'd be a nice sort of place. Warm and more sunny than not. It sounds sort of like somewhere a person would really want to go to in their lifetime, ( Read more... )

I want to go to Japan! Somebody said it was like my home.

[There's a two second pause and then a second text is sent, because this just occurred to her.]

Why do you have a plant like that? It'll eat you.

Oh, no, it won't eat me! It's barely as big as my palm. The man had said it'd only bite people if it wasn't getting fed properly.

[really!]

[a pause before responding to that first part, though.]

What was your home like? [...] Wutai, right?

[This is a text of disbelief!] It's not getting fed properly. I bet Japan doesn't have man eating plants, because Wutai didn't! I didn't know you remembered. It's really pretty, so Japan has to be pretty too.

It had been getting fed properly. [this is an awkward text of extreme awkward, not that it'll show:] Japan doesn't have any that I'm aware of, but the Japan in this world may be different. It... should be pretty in this world as much as back home, though.

[... hm.]

It'd be really interesting to visit.

Eating meat is not proper feeding of a plant! [She's had a plant before. She knows!] Japan isn't that far, right? We can go! [A map is something Yuffie has not yet seen...]

It's a strange type of plant that needs to do that, though. [... you break any awkwardness, Yuffie.] There's a desert and an ocean to cross, but it'd probably only take a few weeks by ship.

I'm going to get you a new plant. [It's a talent~] Does it have to be a ship? [It's a good thing he can't see her face going pale.]

That's not necessary - I have to give this one away because I can't take care of it in the first place. [um.] Thank you for the offer, though.

It could be an airplane, I guess.

That's worse! I'll walk.

There's a lot of water in the way - maybe if you... could walk on that, but otherwise, I don't think it'd really be possible.

If there were a chocobo I could do it... [Curse this world for not having giant birds to ride!] Maybe if it's a tiny boat I'll be okay.

Even though it'd take a lot longer? [... okay, he has to ask:]

What's wrong with a big boat?
