No matter how strange things were here, this guy had to be the king of weird. Even as he introduced them to the city, Yuffie couldn't help but stare at him with the slightest tilt of her head. In fact, she was so busy gawking at the blue guy that she didn't notice he had been finished talking.

"Uh..." was the intelligent response.

She was able to break from that spell long enough to straighten herself, hands on her hips in an attempt to look as tall and as tough as possible. "What are you?" Ever polite. At least she was straight to the point and honest, right? Not that it was always a good thing.

Direct and no-nonsense. Sid could appreciate that! It got the job done, and he liked effective tactics. That's the kind of man he was.

He was also the kind of man who would tactically choose to answer the exact question asked, whether or not that meant giving the answer that the questioner likely wanted to get. "I am a teacher at Shibusen! And when I was alive I was a Three Star meister!"

"That's not-!" When I was alive. When. What? Yuffie swallowed hard and took a hesitant step back. So much for acting tough and looking the part. A hand lifted to rub awkwardly at the back of her head while she looked away. Another one of Hojo's experiment-types? Even though this wasn't her Planet, it wasn't entirely impossible anymore.

But just looking at him, she did have to admit that he was a lot more friendly than she would expect any monster to be. "Er... you're... dead." Yep. Just stating a fact. After a second longer, she finally shrugged it off and kicked at the ground. "Hey, just don't try eating me or anything and we'll be okay."

"I died and was made a zombie, yes! Becoming a zombie means you have no fear of death." And here he gave her a rather stern look. "It does not mean that I eat people."

He was, after all, a noble and good man who always upheld Shibusen's values. And the zombie he is feels proud of the kind of man he was.

Anyway, eating innocents (or more specifically, their souls) is a serious offense under Shibusen's rules. Not something he would jest over.

He was so enthusiastic about it! Yuffie continued to stare awkwardly, although the images that played in her mind were far different than what she was seeing in front of her. A horrible death, buried for a night, and suddenly a blue hand rising from the dirt followed by... this guy.

Maybe she was watching too many movies.

Oh, whoops! She got in trouble. Yuffie gave a nervous laugh and held her hands up in front of herself. "Right, non-human-eater, gotcha! Vegetarians are great, I won't judge!"

Sid gave the girl a firm look. Not an angry look--she was not actually in trouble as far as he was concerned. It was, rather, a look which said that this was not meant to be play time, and that if she thought it was she was mistaken.

It did get a little trying the way all these newcomers seemed so fixated on his state as a zombie. He was still very much the man he was, after all. He supposed that many of them might just not be used to living around zombies in their own worlds, so it was just another matter of adjustment to Death City and the way life worked here, but he did wish that they could focus better on what he was saying and not get so fixated on what he was.

"If you'll come this way," he said still looking at her a moment longer before he motioned to guide the group down one of the streets in the direction of the residential district.
