[Genesis is willing to mingle, but he's noticably more quiet than past Watch meetings. There's a piece of paper in his hand-- it looks like a list of the new people under his area.

If he gets to keep his position, of course. He is silently afraid of that.]

[Hey, don't go spacing out now, there's a ninja all up in your personal bubble.

Except not so much, but she stops in front of her Zone Leader with hands on her hips and a frown. She's not saying anything yet, just staring hard at him. Way to make things uncomfortable, Yuffie...]

[... he blinks. Oh? That outfit seems Wutaian. But it's been quite a while since he's seen authentic Wutaian garments so he doesn't quite think you're from Gaia. Yet.]

Yes?

[Raised eyebrow.]

[wutaisrose]

[A longer stare without an answer, but finally Yuffie huffs and looks away.]

You're just standing there. [As if this explains everything.]

It's suspicious!

[redpeacock]

And how is standing about suspicious? [He chuckles a little dryly.]

I need to be visible for those under my Zone, after all.

[wutaisrose]

You could be a spy! [She knows very well that he isn't, but it doesn't hurt to be a little dramatic - especially when it's Yuffie.]

Besides, I doubt you'd be that hard to find. You stand out even when you're trying not to. [Yuffie makes a face, scrunching up her nose before she leans over to sneak a peek at the paper in his hand.]

What's that, notes on us to take back to your real boss?

[His eyebrow goes up as he unfolds the paper in his hand to show Yuffie.]

See it for yourself. It is merely a list of those assigned to the shopping district.

[wutaisrose]

[Doesn't need to be said twice, Yuffie snatches the paper up and holds it close to her face as she inspects the list.]

Ohh, look at that... [And then she grins and thrusts the paper out, tapping a finger over her name.] There I am! See? I'm here!

So you're Yuffie Kisaragi?

[He gave an inquisitive look at her. He knew well that the Kisaragi was a leading clan in Wutai, especially during the war ShinRa waged upon it, but given all these different Wutai-like places such as Hi-No-Moto, who knows where this Yuffie had come from.]

Where are you from?

[wutaisrose]

[OH what a good question that is, and Yuffie promptly shoves the paper back into his hand before striking a rather impressive (well, she thinks it's impressive) pose. One finger points upward to the sky while the other settles on her hip, the girl standing as tall as possible with a big grin on her face.]

That's right, Yuffie Kisaragi - from Wutai, the greatest land to ever grace its Planet. Even the Lifestream is jealous of my home. Nothing can bring us down! [Except for a few stupid SOLDIERs and that dumb ShinRa company, but she's not going to bring that part up...]

[He looks at her as she announces it and he hides the little awkwardness he feels. He is wearing his old SOLDIER outfit, as he was wont to do every meeting with the Watch-- SOLDIER insigna and all, as it was an essential part of the outfit's appearance.

He really wonders, though, did she even notice?]

Hm. I see. Interesting. I'm glad to hear you have confidence in your skills. What did you use to do back home?

[wutaisrose]

[In all honesty Yuffie hasn't noticed at all, though it shouldn't come as much of a surprise. For being such a 'great ninja' she's rarely as observant as she should be.]

Er, what I used to do? [There's a falter in her pose and she slowly lets her gaze slide away as a hand rubs the back of her head. There's no harm in just avoiding any 'I stole my friends stuff three years ago' conversations, maybe.]

Just the usual when I started helping Reeve out. Doing whatever it takes to get the right information, beating back the baddies, showing them what's what on my land. [She gives a firm nod and is right back to her grinning self.] I'm a pretty big deal back home, you know!

[redpeacock]

[Reeve? Wasn't he with ShinRa? Why was this girl working with that man? And "beating back the baddies"? Who were the baddies in her time? Genesis shows a little mild confusion on his face, which he quickly brushes away.]

I see. Impressive.

[wutaisrose]

[Blink. Wait. After a wide eyed pause and stare, Yuffie suddenly throws her arms up.]

That's all? No "can I get an autograph" or anything?

[redpeacock]

[He chuckles]

I won't need an autograph. In any case, I'll get to see your face all too regularly.

[wutaisrose]

And that makes you a pretty lucky guy! [Not that she's tooting her own horn or anything.

Okay, well... her ego is huge.]
