The first thing Aradia does when she wakes up in the afternoon of November 8, 2009 is take her shower and leaves Equius a note saying that she would be out. Going out is something she normally doesn't do immediately post-slumber but this is for Cain. He lost his sister (the first human friend she had made) to BREW's meddling.
She muses on her platonic pity for him as she navigates the city's narrow roads toward the cafe. She made sure to leave her hive apartment with one of her books for note taking if he said anything appealing to her interests. When she enters the cafe, Aradia takes a seat at an empty table and reads over notes her past self made after her first meeting with Cain and Mary in person. It feels like so long ago, but that happens often when your perception of time is wrecked.
