[Reacts as much as two 3kg weights connected by a 3m length of chain usually do to being prodded.]

[Silently he is curious, though. How is the sun going to fare compared to those mortals before?]

[Hades shivers at the touch, jolting at the sudden surge of sensation it brings. The essence of the Sun’s presence is something foreign to his own and it shouldn’t be there, shouldn’t be invading with its bright and warm where there was supposed to be only cold, hollow depths within his darkness.

Their forced closeness makes him instinctively flex and unflex his finger in the strange space the shift brought him to, unpleasant enough to border on feeling good again. Forcing himself to unwind, Hades relaxes, allowing his darkness to be harnessed and worn like a protective cloak while it spreads out to find the tiniest cracks in the other’s soul, invading and bolstering it at the same time.]

[What a curious feeling.]

[Being dropped to the ground draws him from his introspection rather abruptly. Concentrating back on the matters at hand, Hades notes that the creature opposing them has stopped, hesitant of attacking them just as it had been first when it had set its sight on him.]

.....

[He is thinking about pointing it out when Apollo starts swinging the chain. The dark weapon moves easily, gathering momentum and speed within a few spins and cutting through the air like a particularly vicious shadow with a low hiss.]

Concentrate. You will have to try and get it when it approaches. Do not try and attack first. [he decides, breaking his silence. He is still not good with grasping the exact functions of his weapon form himself, but being the god that he is gives him certain advantages as far as certain general knowledge is concerned.] If you miss, you will have to dodge quickly. Do not get yourself tangled in the chain.

[Well, that hadn't been a very cultured or beautiful way of countering their opponent, though it had worked.]

[Hades doesn't comment as the meteor's head connects, physically smashing bones and psychically tearing into the kishin egg's mind alike with his own kind of madness. If anything, he decides, it felt strange and mildly distasteful. But the Sun's sudden display of dark excitement interests him, triggering him to hum with a small bout of pleasure in return as his soul digs deeper into Apollo's, strengthening their temporary connection.]

Aiming at the vitals will end this quickly.

[He doesn't bother to keep the amusement out of his voice.]

[Hades is surprised at how well the youngster god handles his weapon form, leaving the thing barely a chance to try and fight back at all. The timing is almost perfect and at the one time it isn't he finds himself helping out instinctively, blocking the twisted soul with his presence so that the meteor's head smashes it's shoulder just to drive once more into it right away with the force of heavenly retribution as he is swung downwards in a vertical line. Bones break beneath his touch but the Sun is relentless and soon the thing's head is crushed and Hades can feel it's life coming to an end.]

[Watching it's body flicker and distort like black rubber before it finally integrates leaving nothing but a reddish glowing orb behind, he turns back and catches it with a curious glance.]

So this is a corrupted soul...

[He blinks when he hears a rustle and turning around, frowns at the way the Sun is suddenly sitting on the ground. The soul in one hand, he moves to stand in front of the redhead, regarding him with an unreadable expression ( ... )

[Instead of an answer he offers the soul, leaving Apollo to make his own conclusions just as he has. Taking in the shape the other god is in, he tries to ignore the insistent pulsing in the back of his head.]

Your stamina is terrible. But.. [he smiles] That was not bad for a first time.

...At least I cannot say that I hated it.

[Turning around, he scans the area, taking in the way the stars and the moon stand in the sky and the many faraway sounds of battle and cries.]

The wind still smells like blood. Remaining here won't do us any good.

[Shifting slightly, he hmph's, standing in a way that incidentally leaves Apollo the option to grab onto his hand, should the other be truly in that bad of a shape.]

Hmph.

[The reaction is not unexpected. Taking the soul back, Hades simply turns around and takes the lead, expecting the Sun to follow.]

[He moves without haste, choosing their path seemingly in a whim.]
