Description: A restless puppy turns up at Gintoki's doorstep. Sort of.
Suffice to say, his encounter with Okita Sougo had left him badly banged up, restless and unsettled. Takasugi hadn't given himself time, of course, to dwell much on the conversation during the actual fight, but after he and Okita had been pulled apart, as Katsura had alternately chided him and fussed over him while patching up his injuries, he had discovered that the Shinsengumi officer's words kept echoing back to him, refusing to let him forget what he had said. Making him consider things he knew no answers to, and had a great amount of doubt over.
He had a few hours to kill before patrol: he hadn't been able to spend the entire period of training actually training, and he knew exactly who to blame for that. As such, Takasugi found himself wandering through Death City. He didn't feel like going back just yet - Okita-san was sure to ask questions. He wasn't up for that.
The boy found himself staring at a familiar building on the way: didn't Gintoki have his office there? He lingered in front of it, wondering if he should go and see the man. He didn't exactly want to, but Gintoki and Katsura were partners. It was best that he presented himself and got the business of explaining what had happened to him done and over with. Maybe they'd be able to talk too, about lighter things.
Having resolved that dilemma, Takasugi headed for the Yoruzuya office, and knocked on the door the moment he got there. He found himself getting entirely too conscious of how he must've looked like as he waited. The bandages and bruises were not going to be hard to miss at all.
