The girl's eyebrows raise, as if trying to figure out why this guy was talking to them and knew their name]
Ha?
...Oh! You're that Ram guy, yeah?
Reply
[Ram own eyebrows go up and he notices the different behaviour.]
Yeah...you're not Lain, right? I mean, you are the other personality. [Have a smile.] Pleasure to meet you.
Reply
Yeah, that's right. I'm Bold. Nice to meet you too.
[She stretches her arms above her head, listening to the loud 'pop!' of vertebrae, and grins]
What's up? Enjoying the festival?
Reply
[Ram nods.] There's alto of free food and funny things to do, yes, I am enjoying it. I am not very good at cooking, so food is always welcome.
What about you?
Reply
She makes a ton of cute things.
[She smiles and gestures for Ram to walk with her as they talk] It's awesome! We've never been able to do something like this before; there's so much to see and do...
[She trails off a little, watching people pass, interest clear] Humans'll celebrate just about anything.
Reply
I don't doubt it. [He follows.] Oh, I know, I know...they always seems to have one reason or another. It's fascinating, nothing like the net and the grid. Users can't be explained logically.
Reply
Bold snorts, amused] Got that right. They're super weird, but I like watching them. They come up with the most amazing things.
But I guess that's why I like 'em. Never a dull moment. [She's quiet a moment, before making an odd noise of delight and grabbing at Ram's arm] Ooh! Funnel cake! Ram, let's get one!}
[There are moments when Bold shows her true colors; the computerized God that watches and knows all.
And then there are moments like this, where Bold is back to being a 14 year old little girl and more human than ever.]
Reply
[Ram stares at humans the same way Bold does more often than not too.] Trust em, i understand how you feel. Just being able to interact with them like this is new for me.
[Ram nods and starts walking, even if he has no idea what Funnel cake is.] It is your favorite food?
[That is so cute.]
Reply
But we never experienced a lot of these things either.
[But she clings to Ram's arm, happily leading him to the line for funnel cakes.] Nah, I don't really have a favorite food. I eat just about anything! I think Lain likes sweet things more, but I don't have much of a preference.
[She tilts her head to look at him] Do you have a favorite food?
Reply
Why not? You didn't like it back then? [And he follows just as happy, amused by the fact that such a lil girl can still drag him around. Not like it's hard to do that.]
I'm still discovering new foods everyday, but I like apples a lot. [He scrunches his noise for a second.] But I dislike yogurt, it make my stomach queasy.
Reply
Not that we didn't like it, but, hmm... It's a little hard to explain, I guess. Lain's really shy and doesn't like doing things a lot. She never really had any friends to go out and do stuff with.
And I had stuff to do in the Wired, a lot of stuff to figure out as we both became more aware of what we were programmed to do.
[She grows quiet a moment thinking about it, before snapping out of it to grin at him] Well, hopefully you'll like funnel cake! I've heard it's good. Apples are okay too, but I kind of like oranges more.
Reply
Being shy is not bad, it sort of sweet in my opinion. But its' sad that she didn't had more friends. At least she always had you, right?
[The program cheers up again.]
If it's cake I'm sure I will. Oh..oranges. I tried those, but I saw an orange long before I arrived to this world. We thought it was a present for the users, it strange to me to eat them, so I don't.

We didn't really get along until we came here. I think--thought--she was weak and stupid. She didn't deserve the power we'd been given. And she just wanted to be normal. So she pretended I didn't exist, tried to deny it.
And then we got here and... We got kidnapped. And admitting we were there and having to work together convinced her to look differently.
[She shrugged, chuckling a little at his talk of oranges] Well, hopefully you'll like the funnel cake! if not, more for me~
Reply
[He listens to Bold, understanding. Programs were like that sometimes too, they didn't like anomalies nd changes very much.] I asked around what is 'normality', so far no one could give me a proper explanation. I glad to hear that you two worked it out in the end.
Deal. Later on, can we try that fluffy food that looks like a cloud but pink?
Reply
Being normal is overrated anyhow. It's more fun to be different and stand out.
[Bold perks up somewhat] Cotton candy! Sure! I hear it's super sweet, but really tasty!
