Derezzign means being eliminated, dying. And Flynn is a friend. He..hm...[Ram's face is unusually serious.] You or Lain met Clu? He's another program in this world and he looks just like Flynn because he is the man who created Clu. But Clu betrayed him. [So far, that's what Castor told him.]

Being shy is not bad, it sort of sweet in my opinion. But its' sad that she didn't had more friends. At least she always had you, right?

[The program cheers up again.]

If it's cake I'm sure I will. Oh..oranges. I tried those, but I saw an orange long before I arrived to this world. We thought it was a present for the users, it strange to me to eat them, so I don't.

[She nods slightly] Mm, yeah. We've met him. I've heard from Castor. [She rolls her shoulders, looking at little sardonic.]

We didn't really get along until we came here. I think--thought--she was weak and stupid. She didn't deserve the power we'd been given. And she just wanted to be normal. So she pretended I didn't exist, tried to deny it.

And then we got here and... We got kidnapped. And admitting we were there and having to work together convinced her to look differently.

[She shrugged, chuckling a little at his talk of oranges] Well, hopefully you'll like the funnel cake! if not, more for me~

[Ram grins humorless.] A charming program, isn't him? It's upsetting to see him sporting Flynn's face.

[He listens to Bold, understanding. Programs were like that sometimes too, they didn't like anomalies nd changes very much.] I asked around what is 'normality', so far no one could give me a proper explanation. I glad to hear that you two worked it out in the end.

[She smiles at Ram, a little mysterious and an edge of danger] Don't worry. I'm sure CLU will get his just desserts.

Being normal is overrated anyhow. It's more fun to be different and stand out.

[Bold perks up somewhat] Cotton candy! Sure! I hear it's super sweet, but really tasty!

[He gives the girls a curious look for a second and then he smirks back. Ram doesn't like CLU very much.]I can only hope.

It usually is, unless someone tries to kill you for it.

That! I forgot the name. I do like sweet things. [And they were finally in front of..the place that has the funnel cake, idk.]

[Good. Then Lain won't feel like she needs to leave him out of the loop.]

[It's a simple enough conclusion in her mind, and she lets go of Ram to hurry up to the window and place an order for a funnel cake. She's practically bouncing in excitement, throwing some money down and snatching up the plate with a quick 'thanks!' thrown over her shoulder before she returns to Ram]

Ta-dah! Funnel cake! Try it, try it~

Why do I think that Bold and Ram would be such evil prankers against CLU....

[Bold pauses, alarmed] Killed? YOu were killed? [Her expression is one of righteous indignation] Who?

[This 'who' did not just want a name. This 'who' really wanted the name, address, and approximate evaluation of the person's defenses.

[Ram can tell a command when he hears one.]

Yes, by the Master Control Program's guards. I got hit by a light.thank shortly after Tron, Flynn and me managed to scape the Game grid. It wasn't ...quick. [Or painless, but he really doesn't like to talk about it.]But I'm here now, so it doesn't matter. And as far as I know, the MCP is gone.

[He munches on his cake, avoiding Bold's eyes.] Food's the second best thing about this place.

[He nods.]

[She says nothing for a moment, her expression searching, like she's seeing right through Ram and dissecting his programming from the inside out. Finally she says,]

If he comes, or you're in danger, or threatened--you'll tell me or Lain, won't you? In our world we're the God that rules over both the Real World, and the Wired--which is similar to your Grid, I think.

We don't have that Wired to look after anymore, so the least we can do is look after the programs here. [She pauses to eat another piece of the 'cake' before continuing] We'll protect you.

[It's a sincere offer-- not that she doesn't think he and the others could take care of themselves, but she feels a certain level of responsibility for them]

...Second best? What's the first? [Eyebrow raise]

Actually that will be pretty annoying for someone that has electric *circuits* on their skin >3

[Ram is silent while he finishes his cake, but when he finally speaks it's easy to tell that he's being sincere. Programs don't judge people and things by their appearance, they know better. Bold might look like a little User to him, but he has no doubts that she's probably as powerful as she claims to be.] I will, I promise.

That's really sweet of you two. Back in my world, the only one that looked after me was my own User and later Tron and Flynn.

[He gives her a slightly amused look and a good natured smile.]

The first? People like you.

[She smiles and tugs at Ram to bring him down closer to her level, standing on tiptoe to kiss his cheek] Of course. Lain and I will keep all the Programs safe; that's our promise.

[But that answer completely knocks her off guard. It surprises her enough that she even blushes, but looks pleased]

Heh. You're smooth, Ram. Real smooth.
