And things need to get worse before it gets better. )
It didn't look very human anymore.
Still, Takuto already knew this wasn't going to be a pleasant fight. But there were innocent people being menaced by this thing, and he wasn't going to stand by and watch. He thrust out a hand towards Aion, keeping his eyes trained on the Kishin Egg, and opened his mouth.
... He promptly shut it, remembering that Aion didn't like his shouting out encouraging things or attack names. He grit his teeth and said in a frustratingly quiet voice, "Let's do this."

His lips pulled into a little scornful smile. He had no pity for creatures like that.
"Let's." A flash of light and a gunblade was resting in Takuto's hand. Unlike the last time Aion's wavelength was calm and focused this time, providing support and purpose rather than urging ahead.

Though it suddenly appeared as if they had the Kishin Egg's full attention.
It rushed at them at an incredible speed, giving Takuto only enough time to react on instinct. He fired once hurriedly and missed, then leaped to the side to dodge. He rolled and stood quickly, already facing the monster. He passed Aion to his other hand and aimed again.

"Takuto!"
The warning shout was late as the kishin egg already attacked and he didn't waste time for another one when Takuto dodged and prepared for another attack. The boy acted confident but Aion could feel that there was something slightly off with the way he moved as if they were being out of balance. "Want me to help you?"

The Kishin Egg was coming back for another attack. He hoped that either his next shot would hit, or that he'd be able to fend it off with the blade.

"I'd hate to leave it entirely to you," he said, recognizing the confidence in Aion's voice. But he was reluctant to let go of the weapon, especially when their resonance seemed to be working so well (and he was actively using him to defend himself). "And I'd be no good against this thing without a weapon."

"Right then," he said, deciding he could use the moment to realign his feelings on the matter, "have at it!"
He let Aion slip from his grip so he could transform back into his demon form and attack.

Snarling a wordless battle cry, Aion ducked past an arm that had more blades than fingers and delivered a quick series of ferocious blows against the creatures head before another strike forced him to retread out of reach.
Faking another attack, the Sinner smirked wildly as he cashed in a shallow cut. Knocking the limb aside, his tail lashed out almost casually and gouged one of the creatures’ eyes out, making it howl in pain as it stumbled back.

It was... nauseating, actually, to witness Aion hacking the Kishin Egg apart. A limb--a limb--went sailing through the air and hit the ground with a disgusting, lifeless thud.
It was oozing...
He knew he was supposed to be paying attention to the battle, so he ripped his eyes from the dismembered body part, only to catch Aion's ferocious smile. It... wasn't the expression he had expected, and he realized with a sickening jolt:
He didn't like it.

"I'm done. It's time for you to deal the last blow."

But his thoughts were dominated by the look on his weapon's face and whether this final blow was going to be more like a mercy killing. It was unusual for Takuto to feel indecisive, but he was having trouble reconciling the nature of their mission, the nausea caused by Aion's bloody attack, and his own principles.

"Hurry!" ...before he gave in to his instincts and simply beheaded him for giving him a sensation like that.

His grip tightened. He aimed Aion at the Kishin Egg, forcing his fears and doubts aside and trying to remind himself that he trusted the demon. Aion was his weapon, and they were here to fight Kishin Eggs and save innocent lives. He had to believe that.
He pulled the trigger.

The remaining body of the creature collapsed slowly, disintegrating until only the floating red globe of a corrupted soul stayed behind.
Seeing that no more enemies were available, Aion turned back, checking their surroundings with his own eyes for any potential treats before he turned his attention to the damage they had just caused. Well, that shop wouldn't be back in business anytime soon again, though they seemed to have missed the chance of getting anything beyond that one target. Ignoring the jab of fatigue in his guts, the demon whistled. "Wow! That's pretty impressive considering we were only using your energy."
