[Morning Training!]

Morning Training happens every day in the city, and most days get handwaved. Once a month a log goes up to play out interactions and teaching. It happens from 6 am to 9 am, and this time it's happening December 31st, in-game.

[Shuurei had only been to morning training one time a couple of weeks earlier to observe. But with the things that had happened since then-those shoppers during the mission had been kind of scary-it seemed like it would be a good idea to try to learn to defend herself and attempt to figure out what her Meister ability was.]

[So, she’s now looking at the little sign and wondering about that reference to clothes.]

Trying to discover your Meister ability is dangerous?

The man with the stitches across his face? [Shuurei had never spoken to him but she remembered him from the tour. The stitches had reminded her of the epidemic in Sa Province.] Are there different methods then?

And I don't believe we've met before. I'm Shuurei and I've only been in this city for a few weeks. [smiles]

Do you have advice for discovering a Meister ability? Someone told me that they’re usually based on personality but I haven’t noticed being able to do anything unusual since arriving here.

A talent, such as music? And I've worked many different jobs. [This sounded like it wasn't going to be simple if there were that many possibilities...]

Well, I took whatever jobs I could find while growing up since my family was poor. I did bookkeeping, taught children at the local temple, and sometimes took jobs playing the erhu in teahouses.

For a few months, I was… a tutor of sorts to the Emperor. [She’d really rather not explain that consort thing…] I worked as a page in the Ministry of Finance for a month and after I passed the Imperial Exams, I became a government official. I shortly served as co-governor of Sa Province and then worked for the Censorate, investigating things, before I found myself here. [She didn't know much about the types of abilities other Meisters had so she wasn't really sure how any of it might translate into an ability.]

[She nods.] The Censorate mainly investigates corruption and wrongdoing although it also handles some other matters like prison inspections. I've worked on cases of art forgery and counterfeiting and a few others. [To be exact, her getting involved in some of those cases had been her meddling before she was hired by the Censorate. She wasn't sure if she should mention the assassination plot where she had been placed as Princess Jyusan's double. And the assignment she had been on, to find the Emperor and bring him back to the capital, was supposed to be confidential.]

Is this more likely to be related to my ability?

Are there other people who have abilities related to music then? I haven't heard too much about other people's abilities yet. Are they usually used in fighting? [She had assumed they would be but she couldn't really picture how an ability connected to music would help.]

I actually considered Soul Talk for the times Shuurei spoke in the Imperial Court XD;

Oh, I only played an instrument so I don’t know if I’m likely to have that ability.

[She thinks back to the night when many members of the Sa Clan were arrested.] That sounds like what Lady Shunki was able to do back home. She once told me to cover my ears and my hands started moving on their own. And some guards fell over asleep because she told them to. It must be very useful for you.
