[underspinning]

[ At a loud thud and the sound of screeching, Tenten's alert mind quickly overlooked the entire forest. A herd of Kinshin eggs continued to rush away from the location, but one exceptionally angry screech remained. When the Kishin eggs were far enough away, Tenten's sharp eye quickly saw the kishin fell for their crude pitfall. With the monster struggling to get out of the hole, Tenten quickly tapped Santana to grab her attention. ]

Santana-! Hey! We got one!

[Admittedly, Santana thought about turning around the second they showed up here. She'd never actually seen the Kishin eggs before now, but they...well, honestly, she had never really tried to imagine them before. But what she saw was definitely worse than whatever she had assumed. Lima Heights ain't got nothing on Winnet.

It was total chaos around there, and the pair quickly noticed the monsters trying to surround the town, making themselves cozy on the wooded outskirts. So they did what any teenage girls with only a vague idea what the hell they were doing would do: they tricked them.]

It actually worked?

[ Tenten's first view of a Kinshin egg was, suffice to say, definitely not what she imagined. She thought there were egg-armored creatures with animalistic features for whatever appendages they had out of their bodies. The ugly beasts were certainly unsightly.

Also tagging you has so much swag, not even Lil' B could possibly contain it all. ]

Well, they certainly aren't intelligent. Let's strike while the iron i-[ ...And now Tenten just fails to complete that sentence as her jaw seemingly drops to the floor. ]

[ The Kinshin egg used what little intelligence it had to deduce whoever set the trap. It's narrow, angry, glaze seems to tighten as its crocodile jaws open wide enough to devour both of the girls at once. As the rest of its scaly, clawed, limbs crawl out of the hole there's only one proper reaction from Tenten ]

Shit!

[That thing was moving way too fast. Santana didn't have time to think about it, so she jumped back, and pulled Tenten with her. They only had a few seconds left until the Kishin egg freed itself entirely, they had to act fast.

Pumped full of adrenaline and still holding onto Tenten's arm, Santana switched into her weapon form. That task had become a lot easier thanks to frequent training with the other girl, and the coming moments would decide whether or not it was worthwhile.]

Go!

[underspinning]

All right! [ With Tenten's impressive athleticism, charging towards the beast before he made his way completely out was a close effort but, by the time she arrived, the Kinshin egg was already standing on its hind legs. However, this did not stop Tenten from attacking. If she could aim for its legs, maybe she could get it back into the circle. So, with her firm grip, she she lashed towards the feet. It seemed like the safest spot to aim for. The bladed parts of the chain could prevent the monster for aiming parts that weren't Tenten's head, and, Santana also ran a very low risk for being injured herself. ]

Hmpt-!

[The impact was strange. Not like working on training dummies, she could feel the harm being inflicted. It made her feel powerful and afraid at the same time. She did her best to push the fear back, she had to focus.

Resonation requires focus. Don't lose it.

The lashes against the creature's legs made it roar and fall back on all fours, instead of down the hole again, like they had wanted. She should have paid more attention when her brother was watching Steve Irwin.]

[underspinning]

[ When the beast fell back, his large weight impacted the ground like a meteor, which caused Tenten to jump into the air to avoid losing her balance and the plentiful debris surging through the air. Tenten, with her vision obscured, tried to fall back in order to get out of range for whatever attacks it could possibly have at its disposal. ]

Argh-! Damn it!

How are we gonna get it back in the damn hole?

[Communicating telepathically while in weapon form was something she was still getting used to, but Santana appreciated it. If only the guys back home could see, they'd jizz their sci-fi nerd pants.]

[underspinning]

I'm not too sure. Maybe we can wait until its on its feet before trying again?

[ Tenten's reply is somewhat delayed. She never once thought to her weapons as she wielded them in the past, and thinking to one had some type of delay on her. It just went totally against her habits. She steadies her position as she lands. She wasn't sure how fast the monster was on its legs so preparation was imperative. ]

[They would have to make it, somehow. It was faster with the stability of all four legs, apparent by its angry rampaging towards the two girls.]

Up the tree.

[underspinning]

[ Tenten nods and jumps up the trunk. She quickly grabs ahold of an adjacent branch before pitting her foot onto the tree trunk. She's definitely keeping an iron grip on Santana as she tries to think of a way to work her feet onto the tree branch. ]

I'm not letting go of you any time soon, Santana!

[Just dangling there with the Kishin egg running at them was unnerving, but she had to trust Tenten. It gnashed its teeth near the base of the tree, Santana's bladed tip just out of its reach.]

[underspinning]

[ Tenten quickly swings herself up and over onto the tree branch. With both of her feet now on it, she holds Santana with a more relaxed grip, as if she's ready to strike. There's no way in hell she was going to let Santana experience any time of hard, and that was exceptionally clear in her thoughts. ]

Are you ready?

[Another snap of its jaw let the Kishin egg's nose barely bump her. It was already trying harder.]

Yeah. When you are.

[She sounded sure, and calm given the circumstances, being inches away from rows of sharp teeth. Santana knew Tenten wouldn't let her get hurt. The knowledge put her at ease, cleared her mind. When they were on their feet and stable she felt even better. More in tune with the Meister's wavelength than ever, she readied herself for another attack.]

[underspinning]

[ By now, the beginning synths to Blah Blah Blah were beginning to beat in Tenten's head. Santana, your magic has already been worked.

Tenten carefully and swiftly swings herself downwards and pushes her feet of the trunk. She speeds in mid air towards the monster holding the whip with an iron grip as it cracked behind her. As she passed the Kishin, she swung it down with a fierce velocity, making sure it would carve into the midsection of the creature before speeding onwards as the monster recoiled in pain. ]

Maybe we don't need to get him in the hole to kill him.
