Mom and I went to the vet and picked up the ashes yesterday. I've never considered cremation, its always seemed like such a strange thing to have a loved ones ashes in your house after theyre gone. The vet asked if we wanted to bury her body somewhere, or if we wanted ashes.. never really mentioned anything about anything else. This makes me wonder

I wish I thought of keeping some form of random hair that was found in the house...I swear the moment Mikey died it was like all of his fur that he constantly left trails of was instantly gone, it was super weird. I like the idea of the shrine and I think however long you want to keep it for is completely up to you, there shouldn't be a set timeframe for things like this
