004 [Video | Shadow]
[The video flicks on to show a flash of Kanda's face, his hair hanging loose and a hint of golden eyes before the camera turns away to pan across the inside of an old ornate building. He's standing in the nave of a church, pews stretching out on either side of him and the alter ahead, framed by an ornate stained glass window reaching up to the steepled roof above.
Around him all the wood looks wet, a thick oily liquid dripping off of it to soak into the carpet. There's an overturned canister off to one side, the sort made to hold gas or kerosene.
At his feet lies the coat of his Exorcist uniform, clearly soaked in this same liquid.
The perspective on the video shifts going momentarily askew, and there's a closeup of Kanda's hands as he strikes a match. He holds it against the rest of the matchbook until the whole thing flares like a torch. Then he simply drops it, right onto his coat.
In an instant the whole scene bursts into a blaze of flame, a crackling whoosh and the sudden flush of orange-red light leaving no doubt how quickly the fire spreads.
Kanda stands in place for ten whole seconds, then turns his back on the blaze and walks to the door.
Outside in the fog, he turns to watch the building burn, his face almost expressionless save for an unusual openness behind his eyes.]
[[OOC: Okay so, shadow!Kanda has torched the church in the outer yellow quarter on the east side of the city. If anyone wants to try and fight the blaze that's where you'll find it. Otherwise it'll likely continue until the building is a stone husk and then burn itself out. Also, I'll be using sublimated for icons. Aaaaand all of this has been mod approved. \o/]]
