I know that a few of you haven't been here long enough to even get settled, and don't have a solid grasp on what's going on, but that is the reason for this call to attention.
First off. Teddie, Chie, Kanji, Yukiko. I'd rather you not participate in this upcoming battle, being unpartnered and/or unsure of whether you're meisters or weapons, but I know better than to expect you to willingly sit out. If you decide to fight, I won't stop you, but I will try to help you find out what you are, and to get you even temporary partnerships.
But if at least one of you could stay with Nanako and Matilda throughout all this, I'd appreciate it more than you'd know.
[He takes a deep breath at this point, going into full-fledged leader!mode.]
Second, to make sure everyone is caught up on the situation: Adachi arrived in Death City in early June, only two months ago. Since his arrival, however, he has... [His expression falters, briefly, before he steels it again.] Murdered an unknown number of people and assaulted a handful of others. By consuming their souls, his strength has increased exponentially. He's become something that Shibusen calls a 'kishin,' and can no longer be considered a human.
After disappearing from sight for an extended period of time, it's even more apparent. We believe he was the cause of the fog, and Shibusen themselves have stated that his size is overwhelming. [Links provided to their first and second posts.] They have proposed that everyone help in taking him down, but we have a special assignment in all of this.
We are to be bait, to lure him into the Kishin Chamber. Some of us will be on the battlefield beforehand, but in the end, we will be the ones to take him down.
[A pause and a slow exhale, and Souji looks up from the camera to someone off screen. Before he looks back down, he nods.]
Matt, Rise, and I have talked about it, and have devised something of a plan. While in the Chamber, Matt and Rise will act as a distraction using Rise's weapon form, while the rest of us focus on attacks. We want Adachi's attention to stay on them: if this works out like we hope it will, then we'll attack in quick, short bursts so that we can move out of his reach and they can get his focus on them again. This way, we can slowly weaken him, until Shibusen steps in to create the new seal from his soul.
This is a lot to take in, I know, but this has to end. If anyone has anything they'd like to say, or questions, now is the time to address them.
