[The camera is disoriented when it turns on, lying somewhere uneven and providing nothing but a shot of a brick wall reaching up to the sky. There's a strange sound in the feed, though-- Uneven, ragged breathing, punctuated by a sharp gasp as the device is shaken by something. It's hard to tell exactly what the camera is pointed at, now, but either the communicator or the thing it's pointed at is shaking.
It almost sounds like someone tries to speak, but the words are choked, never quite getting past that first syllable. There's a strangled, frightened sound. Finally, there's the impact of someone just punching down on the keyboard of the device. Once, twice--
The distress signal goes off, at last, and the microphone picks up a noise of relief- or a sob of horror.]
