[It's mid afternoon, and someone seemed to forget that small children go trick or treating earlier than lazy teenagers. As someone who had worked the past three consecutive Halloweens -- they did some of their best business that night -- where the only costume he needed was a pumpkin pin on his Junes apron, Yosuke had...forgotten about the whole dressing up thing. Maybe. Slightly. ...Completely.
But he had an entire apartment full of all the weird shit Souji might have collected over his time here. If Souji was anything like his friend back home (and after a lengthy talk on the subject, which Yosuke had slept in over, he was pretty sure they were one and the same), there was bound to be a fully functioning mech shoved in one closet or another. That weird kid loved his models.
Unfortunately, whether he had one squirreled away or not, Yosuke turned out to be the least resourceful person alive. The video feed flicked to life, with Yosuke bent close to see if the right lights were illuminated. When he leaned back, the scene was...messy to say the least. At least Yosuke had found foil. A...A lot of foil. And some duct tape. His dignity had rolled under the fridge at some point during his search.]
Hey, so! Halloween tonight, right? Ahaha...heh, um. [More foil crunching, followed by the unpleasant sound of tape being tugged off the roll. Yosuke's torso was already messily wrapped in the stuff, though his arms were proving challenging. He started flapping his like a mentally problematic seagull, trying to wrap the tape in a way that was at least remotely close to 'uniform'.] So...I guess I'm taking a poll here. H-How many of you guys bought your costumes and is there anywhere I can go for cheap before...two hours from now? [With no money. Damnit. That led to his next point:]
I guess a better question is, job-wise, what's the city look like right now? [Another sharp unsticking sound.] I've been thinking about it, and I'm really sick of being poor. I've got loads of experience dealing with people, and...stocking shelves, I guess, but I'd like to avoid that one. I'm not exactly chomping at the bit to go back to retail.
So...know any places that are hiring? [Cue that customer-service smile, bright and warm and completely fake.]

Halloween is...well, today! Souji's at work, man, you've got to help me. I can't let Nanako-chan down! I'm going for...uh...[His voice got smaller, more than a little embarrassed.
