Description: Tassadar heads to the Carnival ahead of the others to scope out what to expect. Little does he know that some actually see him as one of the attractions =|
Tassadar had gone on ahead of Nataku while his young weapon gathered together those he'd wanted on this outing. Curiosity had gotten the better of him, and the templar had decided to seek out information while he'd waited.
The music was loudly beating across his skin, and the lights blazing brightly as carnival goers filed in through the entrance. He hadn't even entered through the main gates yet, and the Protoss warrior found himself drawn to the flashing lights. It was something reminiscent to the appearance of the technology of his race, but far cruder in nature. Still, it was almost nostalgic to the templar as he pulled himself from his thoughts and began making his way over towards the entrance.
That, in itself, had been quite the experience. The young human manning that particular entrance had initially mistaken him for being apart of the carnival itself, but when asked for his ID, Tassadar found himself on the receiving end of a muttered apology before being allowed entrance into the area. He wasn't quite certain what to make of such a mistake, and while he knew of the physiological difference his race had in comparison to the humans, Tassadar could not draw on a reason.
Did they have non-humans working within carnivals? That was the only logical conclusions he drew in response, and it left the Protoss warrior rather curious to discover the reality behind the answer.
Making his way deeper through the carnival grounds, the templar found himself pulled out of his thoughtful observation as he noticed the commotion aimed in his direction.
"I didn't know they were going to have a Freak Show this year!" One young male called out as he, and the few around him, approached Tassadar before peering up curiously to the tall alien, "Unless you're one of the creatures from the haunted house?"
Tilting his head to one side in though, the glow of his eyes was abnormally bright in the dark moonlight while his mind thought over what was spoken. While he knew the definitions of the terms spoken, Tassadar was uncertain as to how they would relate to him, "I'm afraid that I do not understand."
The reaction was instant once the young human figured out just how he'd spoken. Tassadar watched silently as the child's eyes widened with a range of emotions before an excited expression took over. He had always thought that humans were a strange race, and this situation only further aided such thoughts.
"How did you do that?! You've got no mouth! Does that mean that you can read my thoughts? It's just a cheap parlor trick!"
The rush of questions of the friends with the child drew the attention of a number of others also attending the carnival. Taking a step back, Tassadar looked up to see the curious fascination embedded within the other human's eyes as they all began to encroach within his territory.
This... was something he hadn't expected, and it was a situation that the High Templar hardly wanted to find himself within. It didn't go by his notice that he looked to be the only non-human looking creature in the area, and that in itself seemed to give him a partial answer to his previous question. The bombardment of questions didn't help either, and while he feared no human, Tassadar wanted to remove himself from the situation entirely.
Moving backwards to try and avoid being cornered, the templar found it difficult not to notice the fact that the humans seemed to follow his silent retreat. The blue of his eyes momentarily flashed yellow before Tassadar finally spoke up, "I must take my leave."
Inclining his head, the templar took the opportunity to slip out from within before he began heading back down the lane. Perhaps it would have been wiser to wait?
