Sep 30, 2009 21:05

Characters: Prussia and England
Location: Death City Heights apartment 2B
Rating: PG13, Prussia and England swear (and it gets a bit sexy near the end)
Time: Day 22, night
Description: Tension mounts as England continues to lose his faith in Shibusen. Obviously, Prussia is concerned about his partner, because he needs him to train with. England's a complete nuisance now, right? A confrontation is in order.

It had been another long day at work again. Another day of waiting on giggly teenagers and standing on his feet for hours. Though England was glad that he'd had something to keep his mind occupied. Lately, it seemed that all he was doing was thinking about Death City and why he shouldn't be there.

Ever since Canada's meeting, doubt about Shibusen had been creeping into England's thoughts. He had started to wonder what sorts of people these officials were, that would bring children into war. Not only that, but they had failed to show that the war was their main concern. After all, Stein had lied to Liechtenstein, and the classes had not taught anything about bonding or partners. And no one knew what Soul Resonating was, but the members of Shibusen brought it up frequently.

It bothered England. Here he was, putting forth the effort to help these people, putting his own citizens on hold for strangers, and he was getting nothing back. Would he eventually die here? Like poor Lithuania? Why should he put his life at risk for the people of Shibusen, who weren't doing anything?

England slipped into the door of his shared apartment with Prussia, loosening his bow tie. "I'm home," he said, though he half-hoped that the other country was off visiting his brother.
