Description: Cloud's clothing got shredded on a mission, and he's finally (awkwardly) skulked to the mall to try to get new clothes.

He had finally given up trying to repair his sweater. He had put in a valiant effort to put the tatters back together in some semblance of order, but not even his increasing sewing skills could make it look anything more than tatters. Even Sephiroth had refused to acknowledge his attempts as valid anymore, but it took him another whole day to come to the same conclusion about the only piece of clothing that he owned. Not only had he worn it to death, but it had died a horrible death at the paws of oversized cats.

After conveniently borrowing someone's clean shirt from the laundry room (he'd bring in back), he trudged his way to the mall to make an attempt at something comfortable. He disliked clothes shopping, and he avoided the women's shops in particular. He had seen the inside of one too many women's dressing rooms, and he couldn't look back now. At least the clerks had said he had nice feminine legs once...

Cloud stopped in front of a sports shop to admire their baseball bats. It was better than peering in the windows of clothing shops, and he had made no progress on that end regardless of his attempts. So, it was time for a break to stare at an object he was very familiar with. It still looked better and more conventional with good quality nails in it, but the plain thing was good as well. Maybe he should forget the clothes and just get another one of those?

Digging his hands deeply into his faded pant's pockets, he huffed for forced himself to step away. He needed a shirt and maybe another pair of pants, not another weapon. But... it was very nice, and he always liked to collect weapons. Though, his roommate might glare at him if the number of baseball bats outnumbered people or swords in the room, and they were finally on better terms. Did he really want to ruin that?

"He doesn't appreciate good quality wood and nails," he muttered for forced himself to walk away and stop in front of another store. Collared shirts... geez, those looked as uncomfortable at the suits he had once tried on. Oh, he could pull off the look (he could pull off any look), but that didn't mean that he sought to own something that looked like it had a better chance of strangling him rather than keeping him in fashion.

His eyes caught on a horribly gaudy red shirt with Hawaiian flowers. That wouldn't be so bad... he could definitely have people avoiding him with that thing. He skulked over to the rack and peered at it subtly (not really), looking for sizes and imagining the look on Yuffie's face if he walked by in this. It might actually be worth it.
