Description: Rise tells Matt everything of what happened in Inaba
He was alive.
Rise closed the door to the apartment behind her. He was alive.
All the while on the walk from the hospital to the apartments that was what had been running through her head, and with each time she heard it her back straightened a little, the light came back into her eyes, and her resolve strengthened. The past few days had been a huge emotional roller coaster for the young idol and her well being had quite literally been dancing at the precipice, but with the knowledge that her friend was alive, she had been pulled back. Yosuke and Kanji were still missing, and possibly dead, but she had managed to finally convince herself that like Souji it was never good to always assume the worst.
Not only that but seeing him, and realizing that he was only human, just like herself reminded her of the vow she made when she decided to ask Matt to be her partner. She wanted to get stronger, to be able to stand on her own feet. Souji had always been strong for her, now it was time for her to be strong for Souji.
It was so late, and she hadn't slept in the last two days but she was still alert as ever. Her mind was racing through everything that had happened and all that may still occur.
She folded her arms behind her and leaned back against the door, casting her eyes to the ground. She had seen what was on Souji's body. What would happen from here on? Whether they went to try and play by his rules or not...Rise wanted in on it. She had never felt this much ill will towards anyone in her life. Even when she had thought that it was Namatame who had done the killing, she had been there to defend him when Yosuke, Kanji, and Naoto had proposed they leave him to die in the TV World. Even when she had been told that it was really Adachi, she had only ever felt disgust and a bit of pity towards him.
This. This was something akin to hatred. She hated the feeling but it only seemed to be growing and it made her nauseous. She was afraid that if she didn't do something, didn't quench it somehow, that it would consume her. For now she was able to keep it down, in fact she felt quite calm, but who knew how long that would last.
She looked her head towards Matt who had been sticking with her through all this with remarkable patience. Rise could never express how much his presence and help through all this meant to her, but she had to at least try, and she felt it was long time she tell him everything about the circumstances that had brought Adachi into her life.
