The streets were in shambles. Pieces of costume, candy, and the bodies of the dead littered the ground. Many of them were children. The most of the surviving residents had already run for shelter, trying to get away from these maniacs that had suddenly gone berserk in their midst. Some writhed on the ground in agony, injured, while others had picked up weapons themselves in a fit of madness.
It was chaos everywhere. Fires had started in some places, scattering soot and ash through the lower areas of the city. The alarms continued to blare in the streets.
