Sephiroth had been completely unaware of the conspiracy against himself and Kurapika. While he would never go so far as to say he liked Kuroro's Weapon, he grudgingly admitted to himself that the blonde Weapon was good for Cloud. That was partly why he had accepted Kurapika's presence without any level of aggression or disapproval, while the other, of course, being that Kuroro appeared to care for his blonde Weapon ( ... )

He'd excused it as a celebratory drink after the successful (and mostly unscathed) end to the mission they had just finished the previous night. It had been a while for him, and even longer since the last time the four of them had teamed up. He heard Cloud's question, didn't raise his head as he answered, "... I feel stupid." Tipsy, happy despite being highly disgruntled at ( ... )

At the way that Sephiroth had to rebalance himself with a slammed hand and glared at him, Cloud was pleased with the results already. It was not deep into the evening, and he could see the change in his partner already. This was going to be a good night, and he shot Kuroro a smug knowing look around his raised can of beer so Kurapika and Sephiroth couldn't see it ( ... )
