Sup, Soul Campaign!
We’ll be posting the second to the last TYL log in two days. This will take place two months after the kids from the past first arrived in the TYL timeline, and will be set in Shibusen’s underground base for the good guys and the witch factories for the bad guys.
Basically, this is what happened in the few weeks that passed:
- Sid and his team spent the past month locating the whereabouts of Miranda’s Time Record, eventually tracking it down to the witches. At the same time, they uncover the location of a large witch factory/base.
- In response to this, the current heads of Shibusen made a call to all allies and friends to help them storm the factory. The goals are simple: Cripple the factory and locate the Time Record. The log takes place at this time, when the members of Shibusen and the different allied groups come together to prepare for the battle.
- The plan is not known to all for security reasons, but the Time Record will be used to send the four kids back to their original time in Death City, thus preventing the assassination of Spirit Albarn, which will hopefully prevent the TYL timeline from happening.
Allies and people from CWC joining may come at any time in the week, which will be indicated on the subject header of the threads as usual. Handwaving participation in this log is also fine.
Characters from CWC or other groups who will be staying in their respective bases and won’t be going to Shibusen may also join the log. Just indicate it in the subject header of the thread where they are (CWC or elsewhere). However, note that they won’t be able to make an appearance in the final mission log that will be put up in October if you decide that they are not joining the fight (and therefore, the preparation) at all.
Note: Your characters are not required to participate in the fight. In the end, it’s their prerogative if they want to help Shibusen and join. In the case of characters who won’t join the fight but want to tag along the Shibusen preparations, that’s also fine.
On the witch side: Naturally, the witches also notice the rise in the activities of the good guys. Shibusen is preparing for battle, and it doesn’t take a lot to figure out where they’re taking the fight. The witches, in turn, have gathered their modified witches and other supporters to the factory. Time to prepare!
To the players of the September 2010 application cycle:
Unfortunately, you will not be able to join the TYL timeline with your characters. It was decided when we started the event months ago that no new characters will be allowed to participate in the event for lack of CR and more importantly, less confusion. (Don’t worry, the present timeline will get busy soon enough!) Check the event links at the bottom to see what has happened with this event so far.
You can use this post to coordinate your activity in the log!
