Argh!

That's it, I still hate dentists, never mind how nice and calm and polite they are!

Cut for the squeamish )

*HUGS*

Dentist is not my fav person to visit either. The last one I went to was on Cambridge street in town and she was not very thorough.

Will keep your dentist in mind as we do need to register for new dentist again and we don't want to go back to the one in the city.

Thank goodness u don't have to pay for the injections!

Hope u will un-stress soon.

I know - I think paying for it too would just make it even worse!

My dentist is lovely, and very good. She even managed to make me feel fairly calm while removing my tooth! She's totally calm and really nice and made me feel comfortable when I first saw her, even though I am fairly terrified of dentists...

*winces* Ooh dear. *hugs*

I think I'd have responded to them telling me they were going to remove my tooth with, "No, you're bloody well not!" and walking straight out...

BTW, Lard Club are going to La Civetta tonight. If the feeling returns to your mouth enough by then, fancy coming along?

I considered it, but having it done today meant it was free, and the dentist said that the tooth was decaying faster than she thought and I would be risking abscesses and possible gum infections/disease if I left it.

Starting to get the feeling back now, but that just means I can feel how painful it is :-(

I think we'll pass on La Civetta - bought myself some soup and Ed has promised to help me sort out the nursery...although I might change my mind depending on how crap I feel (or not, as the case may be)

At least she got it before it became a serious problem and was as nice as she could be about it too.

I was suprised at how fast my gum healed after the wisdom tooth was taken out. Fingers crossed yours does too. Avoid very hot/cold things - the soup should be warm rather than blistering.

The dentist said it should stop bleeding today or tomorrow, and from tomorrow I can do a salt rinse as needed. She said that it's hard to predict how fast people's gums will heal, but it should normally take one to two weeks.
