Well, summer is definitely over - I've had to put the heating on for the first time in months! It's been chilly for a while, but we've gone for the putting on a sweater option, but today I couldn't feel my fingertips, and took that as a bad sign...

I'm just back from a week of oven-like weather in New Mexico followed by s wek of hot and muggy in New York.

God, Sheffield feels cold !

Hot water bottle and pyjamas tonight I think, just to be on the safe side.

We're trying to avoid firing up the Rayburn for as long as possible because it's expensive. It's getting really chilly though!
