Thinking about home

I've talked to my boss today, and it turns out I'm leaving the USA at the end of next February. February 26, to be precise. This is a lot earlier than I thought, actually. I thought I'd be leaving end of February. Despite that, I don't really want to spend another spring in Korea, as lovely as Korea is in the spring. I'm eager to be back among my ( Read more... )

It would definitely be hard to leave your own country and move to a different one -- actually, living in another country gave me a greater respect for immigrants to the U.S. I don't think that I could do it.

Traveling to a different country certainly makes you more aware of all that you take for granted in your home country (like everybody speaking English) as well as the ways in which your home country is deficient. So yeah, there'll probably be some culture shock when you get back, but I don't think it's anything to worry about ^^

You could always move to Canada if you miss colored money that much. ^^

I think it's good you're going right to Scripture to check your beliefs. We learned a lot growing up that we just accepted as true without ever questioning it, just because everyone around us had the same mentality. Talking to other kinds of Christians has definitely been eye-opening....
