As much as I hate starting with - heck, using clichés in general (especially if they're grammatically incorrect) - you really don't know what you got 'til it's gone.

I never realized how huge a part of my life Gaux was, until fairly recently.

i have to say i felt a chill in my heart while reading this... this creeping cold. and it made me really sad. but true to form, you picked yourself up. and showed me what strength is.

i've always thought you were a character.. but recently you've shown me that you HAVE character. i really look up to you.

Speaking of characters, ever feel like you're writing yourself out to be a character? Like much more than having gut feels and reactions and choices, you're choosing how to react, even to an extent mapping out the plot points of your life? haha... ewan.

YES. i know exactly what you're talking about. often, i think before i feel, even without meaning to. so my reactions/words are actually chosen... whether i realize it or not. though admittedly, i consciously choose how to react quite often. i choose in a way that allows me to stay "in character".. and for the story to play out the way i think it should.
