Jack stepped out of the TARDIS and leaned into the hurricane force winds threatening to knock him back.
One arm rose to shield his eyes as he peered through the dark haze in search of a familiar outline.
"Doctor," he shouted, his voice whipped away as soon as the word passed his lips.
Thunder crashed around him, echoing rumbles rolling across the landscape and drawing forth jagged rips of lightning, tearing apart the night.
There, at the edge of a cliff, stood the Doctor.
Arms held aloft, challenging the storm as he toppled forward into the chasm.
Jack woke screaming.
