Summary; Kyuhyun tries not to fall (even more) in love. Sooyoung doesn't know what to do (with her heart). Sungmin knows more than he lets on. Yoona didn't mean to get involved in this. It's a tangled web of hearts and souls.
PART II; Date

Sooyoung thinks she must be going crazy.
How else can she explain the irrational wave of jealousy that threatens to drown her when she sees Kyuhyun's eyes light up at Yoona's smile?
Yoona giggles prettily from across the booth and Kyuhyun is smiling that soft smile he usually reserves for he- someone special and for some unknown reason (because it can't be the one she's thinking of right now, it's impossible; she's in love with Sungmin), Sooyoung just wants to cry.
Sungmin nudges her, watching the pair in front of them with an air of a proud parent.
“Look at them” he whispers fervently. “It’s like they’re made for each other! You were totally right. Kyuhyun and Yoona make the cutest couple ever! Apart from us, of course” he throws her an easy wink.
Sooyoung forces a laugh, her stomach churning. She takes one look at the food in front of her and can’t even make herself eat it.
Definitely crazy.
“I’ll be right back, Yoona-sshi” Kyuhyun says in that low, low voice of his that makes he- anyone shiver.
Yoona nods shyly as Kyuhyun slips out of the booth, making his way to the restrooms. Sungmin grins cheekily at the girls before dashing after his dongsaeng.
“So what do you think of YoonKyu as a couple name?” he calls out, loud enough for them to hear.
Sooyoung can practically hear Sungmin’s smirk from across the diner, as well as Kyuhyun’s murderous glare at his hyung. Yoona blushes, hiding her face behind her tall glass of water. Sooyoung studies the younger girl in front of her.
“You like him” she declares, wondering why it hurts her so much to say it out loud.
Yoona widens her eyes not unlike a manhwa character, before a bashful expression flutters across her face.
“Yeah-” she half-whispers, as if afraid of someone (Kyuhyun) might hear. “- I really do. He’s just - just so smart and funny and charming and he’s cuter than SHINee combined! I didn’t think this double-date would be such a good idea but - it really, really was”
Yoona’s eyes are shining and Sooyoung doesn’t think she’s seen the girl so deliriously head-over-heels (not even when Jaejoong waved at her in last year’s Dream Concert).
Sooyoung reminds herself that this was her idea and that means she should be happy that her matchmaking is actually working so she should stop the silly, silly ideas she’s getting about her and Kyuhyun.
(Not that there ever was or will be.)
“I knew it would work out! You two are just adorable together! So does that mean you’re going out officially?” Sooyoung gushes.
The words feel so sickening tumbling out of her mouth. Yoona shrugs noncommittally, but Sooyoung can tell she wants this, wants Kyuhyun so badly.
“I don’t know. I don’t even have his number! But maybe after today…” she trails off, a dreamy expression gracing her features.
Sooyoung is saved from responding (she wouldn’t know how to) when the boys bound back to the table. Well, Sungmin’s skipping and Kyuhyun looks like he could blow up his hyung’s head with his mind.
“Kyuhyun wants to you to have his babies, Yoona” Sungmin announces, flopping against Sooyoung’s shoulder.
Kyuhyun flushes bright red.
“Hyung!” he hisses, shooting daggers at Sungmin.
His eyes meet Sooyoung’s for a brief second, before she looks away, stopping herself from…something. Kyuhyun looks as if he wants to say something to her(I love you) before he turns to Yoona, offering an apologetic smile.
“Sorry about Sungmin-hyung. He’s just…overly enthusiastic” Kyuhyun says, ignoring Sungmin’s snickering.
Yoona nods, blushing. Sooyoung watches the pair with anticipation.
“So…do you want to do this again sometime?” Kyuhyun asks, his voice nervous but his eyes blank (Sooyoung wonders why).
“Um- yeah! I would. Let me just - here - I’ll give you my number” Yoona stumbles over her words, smiling shyly.
Sooyoung wonders why she wants to throw up. Sungmin looks at her in concern.
“You okay, Soo?” he asks quietly as Kyuhyun and Yoona exchange numbers.
Sooyoung nods slowly, as if trying to reassure herself.
“Yeah, I’m fine. I just haven’t eaten enough” she says light-heartedly, laughing weakly.
Sungmin looks unconvinced, but doesn’t press her. Sooyoung takes one look at the smiling couple in front of her (YoonKyu was an awful name, if you ask her) before looking down at her untouched plate.
She really is going crazy.
